It's obvious Conor got dinged up in camp bad enough this weekend that they couldn't do the press conference and maybe the fight was in jeopardy. But is now progressing in the right direction. This is the only logical conclusion based on everything Ariel is saying.

This should've been obvious to anybody when Ariel said they were looking into a replacement opponent but then never said who even needs replacing. If there's a replacement fighter being looked into then you by default know who's out and who's still in. Ariel somehow wasn't reporting that though.

- dragging things out
- creating a non-story like usual by inserting himself into things

What he meant was Sunday into Monday the UFC brass sent out feelers to see what they could replace the main event if Conor vs Chandler fell through. But by Tuesday evening it sounds like whatever injury Conor may have was heading in the right direction and he should be good to go. As of now fight is on.

Ariel does have contacts with Conor's inner circle including Conor. He said he knows the reason but wasn't allowed to disclose it, which is quite common in the world of reporting. Ariel could probably write a book about behind the scene stories that we as fans know very little or nothing about. Probably some very shocking things.
