HEAVYWEIGHT COACH (why the average coach shouldn't be training heavy weights)

its supposed to be about training heavyweight athletes differently because they are so different hence the title:

HEAVYWEIGHT COACH (why the average coach shouldn't be training heavy weights)

Still has nothing to do with S&C

lol

just because i wasnt doing it in that video doesn't mean thats how i fight dumbass

I dodge the bag and work angles all the time...

my knees are excellent and have won me many fights

where did you learn muay thai??

LMAO, you posted those videos to support your claim of boxing competency. They're the best you've got. Unless you're keeping the premium content to yourself where you suddenly exhibit uncharacteristic bagwork virtuoso then this is what we have to judge you on.

The thing about bagwork or shadowboxing is that it will reveal fundamental flaws. No one with proper instincts ingrained from a lifetime of reinforced habits would stand in front of a swinging bag like you do.

heavyweight specific TRAINING and relative STRENGTH has nothing to do with the
strength and conditioning forum?

LOL

i didnt shoot that vid to show my "boxing competency"

I was just showing off the gym facility and throwing some combos for fun

you think i throw a few punches and then cover up in my fights because i developed a bad habit working the bag...?

thats an amateur mistake like turning your head away from the incoming strike but once you get good at doing it you can use the bag as a block check

thats what teardrops are good for

dodge some block some

75lb bag btw

how about these guys?

How about all the literal examples of highly successful coaches who are able to bring the best performance out of their athletes without having played the sport as that level?

The fact that there are countless coaches I can bring up pretty much debunks those opinions with evidence.

just because there are trainers who NEVER EVEN fought in boxing yet were great trainers in no way "debunks" the fact that heavyweight athletes are different and should be trained by specialists who were heavyweight athletes themselves [in an optimal strategy]

Angelo Dundee, Cus D'Amato, Gil Clancy would have been EVEN BETTER had they been competitive athletes themselves

just because they had success doesn't mean they were OPTIMAL...we will never know what the "best performance" of their athletes would have been

they had the OPPORTUNITY and FACILITY to train where many did NOT

the best fighter is rarely the best coach...in fact they NEVER are

Your first and last sentences are major contradictions of your point.

And let's stop pretending like fighting sports are different than any other sport. The offensive line coach for an NFL team doesn't need to be a 6'5 300lb man to understand what linemen need to succeed. A basketball coach doesn't need to be 6'8 to understand how to train NBA players.

You may have been hit on the head too many times

Buttsore Translation service:

"As a veteran trainer and athlete who founded one of the first mixed martial arts clubs in American history you schooled a bunch of guys who got mad and called you fat after you posted a video of yourself explaining the filthy tactics of boxing's latest heavyweight champion Tyson Fury"

Fair amount of experts said this was decent muay thai from a 45 yr old 289lb wrestling coach

Hey look at this other fat guy explaining striking skills...LOL

You meangirls gonna call him out for being fat and old as well???

LOL

I unfortunately have to refer to Kimbo as an example because he is a man who despite his outwardly perfect physical appearance was very unhealthy since you mean girls want to try to "call me out" for being terribly unhealthy due to my physical appearance despite my perfectly healthy report

# you've been schooled

You get no hip rotation on your hooks at all, you basically just arm swing them. That's a terrible technique right there. But what would I know, I'm just a former national champion with 130+ amateur fights.

-Guerilla- is this forum's special ed Rudy. He keeps taking a beating and he just comes right back admitting nothing, denying everything, and making counter accusations. I can see why he likes his Kellyanne.

I really want to root for the guy but then he says something like he has a puncher's chance in 2/10 matches against a 6'9 world champion who he believes fights dirty.

Only 130? Rookie.

I'm sorry I'll un-retire and pump those numbers up.

This has nothing to do with the topic; I just happen to like this.

The personality that makes a good coach is different than the personality that makes a good fighter

THE BEST COACHES WERE AVERAGE FIGHTERS
NOT THE BEST
... like i said

LOL @ hip rotation

Were my balls on the "correct" side as well

LOL@130

Stan the man would kick your ass

Without correct hip rotation you basically just slap your hook. Getting your hip and legs involved and guess what it'll have a lot more power. But you clearly don't know that because you haven't even had a stripmall education. Self taught fuckwit who thinks he knows a damn thing about my sport.

Lol at you not having a single clue how to box. My record is well documented. so LOL all you want. I know what I've achieved in the sport without claiming I'm a founding father of MMA on an internet forum like a delusional crackhead.

Let me give you some tips blimpy. If you're going to insult people who have had a fucktonne more bouts than you at least know how to throw a hook.

I can't wait to see how Rudy spins Woldog's comment.

#1 Deflection?
#2 Employ a logical fallacy?
#3 Make an accusation?
#4 Make a baseless claim about self or another?

lol this vid is even worse than your others. Here's how you should look on a teardrop bag.

Notice how he's working the bag instead of letting the bag work him (like you do). Why should this rudimentary shit have to be pointed out to a so-called veteran MMA coach.

I do appreciate you digging up that clip to show off that slow-motion slip you do at :25.

I also said i would have 0/10 chances of beating lennox lewis

That INFERS that tyson fury is CRAP compaired to lennox lewis

Even a washed up B grade heavyweight MMA fighter could beat FURY 2/10 times

For a partial quote related specifically to induce spin...

You get a kellyanne/huck combo

LOL

i rotate just fine AND it not smart on every punch

sometimes its best if you just tap with a fast shot and followup with power

mix it up jackass

I trained internationally [read profile]

how come you dont want to talk heavyweight coaching?
