I don't know what world you live in, but 1,200+ Israelis being murdered, raped, and kidnapped by a hostile neighbor doesn't fit my criteria of being "lightly punched." Especially when you consider the fact that it was 9/11 times 10 for them in terms of proportions.

gaza is not a big place. hamas has to make do with whatever buildings are not entirely rubble at this point. if that includes a building that used to be a school, then it includes a building that used to be a school. there aren't children going to school in there. it's a building. and this is how those buildings become military outposts:



side note, you're currently quoting me in another thread implying that the iron dome is nearly impenetrable and outright saying israel is indeed shooting down all the bad missiles and letting harmless ones hit the ground (despite all the footage from today). what good would those proposed rocket and missile attacks do then? why would they continue to build these launching posts when all their missiles get shot down?

The only Israeli deaths reported so far have been from a separate terrorist attack. Nothing has been released otherwise and Israel has every incentive to report their casualties since they want our help.

The tunnel system is not makeshift, it is massive and professionally made. You act like they just used a spoon to dig the tunnels. These are professional, military grade tunnels and bunkers that extend thousands of miles and are interconnect and with hundreds if not thousands of the exits are in schools, apartments, hospitals, UN hospitals, you name it, that cost millions and millions to construct. This tunnel network is connected literally to every aspect of civilian society.

Is Israel shooting down all tube rockets which are largely harmless anyway and Israel has no justification to conduct a ground operation or bombing campaigns OR is Israel repeatedly taking missiles to its buildings and other infrastructure and has very good justification for its bombing campaigns and ground operations. Pick one. You can't have it both ways.
