I know plenty of African immigrants and many are great people. The issue is poverty. People in poverty resort to poverty type behavior like in their home country. That is why immigration has to be in small numbers. 40k of any drastically different culture will inevitably change the country they emigrate to. And it is ok not to want that. Spain has a right to want to retain its culture. Why is it that Muslim cultures won't allow it. China won't allow it. But the rest of the world is supposed to be ok with it or they are racist? Why shouldn't we try and fix the countries they are coming from instead of burdening our own? Again...small numbers are great for diversity and culture. Large, massive numbers are dooming.

Why are the majority American posters on Sherdog getting all butthurt about Spain letting in illegals? That's their choice.

I seriously doubt that the Spanish people are choosing to be invaded by barbarian hordes. It goes against basic in-group survival instincts.

As long as it's not in your backyard though right? When you take a smaller town and put 40k into it, than that town becomes whatever culture came there. Then what happens is more come. No need to assimilate when all you are doing is moving locations. You take all the able-bodied people from one nation and put them in another, you hurt both countries. It could work out of it is just that 40000 but i do not pretend it will be easy, it also depends on the local economy.

4000 immigrants in itself cannot hurt hurt the US in a way that the country notices it.

You are underrating the attractiveness of American culture if you can push the Brahmins the f out.

In Canada and England they get arrested for tweets and public insults. Not so much in the US though.

Most immigrants move to big cities, if anything immigrants moving to small, dying towns helps revive them in the long run.

Staying in an old castle when I vacationed in Ireland. There used to be one that you could stay for a fee. May still be there but its been years ago now. Ended up going to a different city and didnt get the chance.

Europe isn't your 1950s Europe anymore. The EU is essentially a supranational empire that controls all the countries under it. Like a conquest without a war. The idea that each country is separate and sovereign is mostly an afterimage at this point, things are different in practise.
