Bernie's position has partially been a reflection of Vermont politics. At least up until 2018, it was one of the strongest pro-2A states in the country and was the first to have constitutional carry -- well before even Alaska, Arizona, and Wyoming.

When he ran last didn't he move more democrat left gun control on this.

I like his original position on guns but if I remember right he fell in line with the democrats in his last run for president.

It's a shame. I used to listen to brunch with Bernie with Thom heartman back in the days and he'd talk about national healthcare and gun rights and I was all like this dude is freaking awesome and we should totally elect this guy.

I always wanted to believe his heart wasn't in that and it's just what you have to say to be a Democrat but sometimes I can be a bit of an optimist

What a Fudd. The 2A is NOT about hunting. This man believes in nothing other than his own hot take on how we need our rights mangled to appease his emotional pleas about "saving the children". These tools focus on a single means to do so without even giving a single thought to other possible ways to "protect our kids".

I'm a dad too and I'll use my firearms to protect my kids and family while also teaching them to safely do so themselves.

I would love to see at least a couple of republican challenge him to a run on a PPS competition. Maybe let's see him and Vance compete in a PPS and breach run as point man.

I think blanketed gun ban or variations of it beyond that is a bandage solution for a bigger and more complex problem of the mental illness disaster thats been crippling a lot of the country. What kind of country needs a bunch of psychiatrists? Psychiatrists prescribe a pill for an imaginary chemical imbalance they don’t test for, which covers up/delays addressing actual underlying problems… I don’t think the US was teeming with psychiatrists 50 years ago when gun crime was much much lower.
