**GSP confirms contract negotiations with UFC**

Ok. I'll possibly be the hater here.

I WILL enjoy watching him fight when they happen, yet I really DON'T want him to return because I don't want to see him lose.

It was good to see at least 1 person go out with the mystique of a GOAT in tact, but maybe he can continue to be on top. I wish Anderson would have quit after the first Weidman fight.
This is something a lot of people feel with their favorite fighters and I've felt it too in the past. A lot of fight fans will fall in love with a fighter, a desired outcome, wanting a certain person to succeed or fail and neglect the love of fighting. Give me a Hunto Bigfoot fight that ends in a draw vs the most dominant fight from my best friend. Conor and Ronda are good examples how we become too attached or too disgusted with other people, silly stuff and forget what makes this sport so much more than a sport. With the recent death of a fighter like Joao Carvalho, we should be even more reminded of this. It seems to me, hero worshiping has a place and time, I suppose, but is better left at the door step while entering in the sacred temple of fighting.

How's he going to wear a Reebok logo in the cage when he's with Under Armour? UFC will bend the rules for Georges. He's the boss.

No way in hell. Shit would all roll up hill if that happened. Then Conor, followed by Ronda, would demand the same treatment. Plus Reebok could sue the UFC for breach of contract.

You can probably have my account if I am wrong.

Gotta agree w/ you, Brah!

His last couple 2-3 fights were too close for comfort.

Conor and Ronda aren't sponsored by an athletic brand bigger than Reebok. They don't have a leg to stand on.

He is an idiot if he comes back, and i'm a big fan of the guy. Comebacks rarely work.
He'll say stuff like, 'I've never felt better, this is the best i've ever been.'
Ego.

The UFC needs to amend the Reebok sponsor deal and allow fighters to have 3 extra sponsors in cage, that would make everyone happy.

Please pardon any Google Translate weirdness:

"Georges St-Pierre on Tuesday confirmed he was in negotiations with the UFC for a return to the Octagon.
"It's true, we speak and we are on good terms," he told The micro RDS. "Anything can happen, we will see what will happen in the coming weeks, the coming months. "
The former champion welterweight world continues however to maintain the mystery and avoids say more, smirking.

True to form, the announcement of the decision comes after a lengthy period of inactivity.

Most of you look like uneducated buffoons blaming Reebok for sponsoring the UFC. "They should have gone with Under Armor" or "the fighters are pissed at Reebok because they can't wear their own clothing with their sponsors on it". First of all, retards, what f*cking clothing the fighters wear is not gonna change the fact that two motherf*ckers are gonna compete. This ain't no sissy fashion show. If you're really concerned about what another man wears then get a f*cking life. Secondly, Reebok sponsors the UFC and the UFC distributes it how they feel is fair. Get it? So don't complain that fighter X is only getting 20k and Reebok is ripping them off. You're a complete fool and don't understand sh*t. Lastly, why the f*ck do you care what the fighters make? Do you think they give a f*ck about YOUR salary? Get a life. Better yet, get a job.

The is no value on low tier fighters. Most of you posting in this forum wouldn't watch them fight for free let alone pay for it.

I know that. I'm just saying if the MMA landscape today was truly a tit for tat bidding war between the UFC and Bellator, then overall fighter pay would be higher--and that starts at the lowest guys.

But Bellator doesn't value those guys, so they lose out in talent development. Whereas the UFC has masterfully crafted shows that stirs up interest in their career progress like TUF or Dana looking for a fighter.

And Bellator just doesn't believe they can pry the biggest names away like Conor, Jones, Ronda, etc. because the UFC is not afraid to match those guys. But let's say Bellator uses some gamesmanship and overbids for those guys, they still need to have to have a stable of other big names in order to set up big matches. Otherwise they're going to eventually lose those guys again when they see the UFC has bigger money fights to offer with a much more lucrative PPV incentive.

Right now Bellator is content with stealing away mid level guys (Ben Henderson is elite though), and if they can increase profits with a better product, THEN Viacom can see they have a sound business model and fork over the bucks.

Why are people so freaked out about this? when he left he said he wasn't leaving for good.

I have a feeling he will obtain some losses if he comes back. :(

But whatever. Would be great to see him pulvirize some journeymen or take a tough decision against the top guys again.

But title? idk. Maybe he could be Robbie but I think Wonderboy is coming for it and doubt that GSP could take him at this point.

I'm glad Reebok is here to protect me fom another clinical, methodical 50-45 GSP fight. I've seen him fight the exact same fight enough times now, now need for him to return and do it again.

It doesn't matter if he's sponsored by the United States of America. Some fighters were sponsored by Nike and Adidas and they aren't allowed to wear it in the cage period. Off the top of my head;Anderson Silva and Junior dos Santos who are sponsored by Nike and also Robbie Lawler and Luke Rockhold, who are sponsored by adidas.

The Reebok contract is a done deal. Reebok would never allow it to happen..

You are too unintelligent to reason with so I will not try. I bid you good day, sir.

P.S. The irony of you saying that everyone else doesn't understand shit is very funny.

He's too dumb to realize that. Also, it's "censor" lol.
