Interestingly enough, the whole "Autist spectrum" came from Nazi doctors. Hans Asperger was a member of Nazi organizations, who took part in the extermination of children through the "T4 programme".

It's somewhat surprising to me that these old terms continue to be in use, considering their controversial history.

Calling someone retarded, to me, is probably less offensive than saying that they have "Asperger's".

No one's "defending" China; it's just more prudent to deal with our own failings before placing our emphasis on powers outside our sphere of influence. Very interesting. He's obviously very intelligent. The problem with following anyone that age is they are parroting what they've been raised in or are currently being exposed to. It takes time to see if your beliefs hold up. You can read history relentlessly and still be skewed by the bias of the historian.

It's important to be wrong at times and grow by acknowledging those failed beliefs and changing, anyone who fails to do that will stagnate and be vulnerable to huge blindspots in a developing world. A kid just doesn't have the time to compare complex ideologies, they aren't able to look at policies and understand similar policies have different results based on circumstance.

I would trust a 13 year old doctor before a 13 year old political activist.

I thought that was already clear. Other people call her mentally ill or autistic, she claims she has Aspergers, which means she has a developmental disorder and thus, she is retarded because being retarded means you have a mental and/or social developmental disorder.
