[Lavitz]

Jaws a tale of a great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) terrorizing local beach goers and it is up to the local police chief Brody to defeat this menace. After the first film a string of sequels came after and the quality took a dive but some still find enjoyment in viewing the later movies.

Only saw the 1st one, I'd say 7ish but I'm too young to actually understand what it was for the time.

First Jaws is a solid 4 outta 5 stars and Spielberg's only good film besides Duel.

Jaws 2, 3, and Revenge are all hilarious 1 star films with 3 being the worst and most entertaining. It's a been long time since I've seen them but I distinctly remember them giving Jaws the growl of a lion in one of them.

lol not even 1 point for the roaring shark? Was super random and funny. One ending it just blows up for no reason when impaled by the boat.

That is a good point, but holy shot that was an awful film.

Favorite character was Brody.

Dude was no nonsense and ready for action.

Actor apparently didn’t want to do Jaws 2 but glad that he did otherwise it would have been not nearly as good.

Favorite lines.

Brody- “You’re going to need a bigger boat.”

Hooper: “That's a twenty footer.”
Quint:”Twenty-five. Three tons of him.”

Jaws- all-time classic. Head and shoulders above the rest.

Jaws 2- pretty good sequel. Hard to justify its existence but it’s well made and entertaining. It’s like Halloween 2 to Jaws’ Halloween. Can’t compare but it’s a better than some of the stuff to come.

Jaws 3D and Jaws: The Revenge are more like Halloween Resurrection without at least the slight redeeming value of Busta vs. MM.

Rare to see the legend Michael Caine in a bad movie but it’s happened from time to time.

Movie was hilarious.

I agree 1 was excellent. And 2 was justifiable good.
