I've always read that there was a pretty solid link with very low density lipos and atherosclerosis so that would be news to me.
i don't know how fat fucks like that can even post pictures of themselves
His bloodwork is in:
Pretty outrageous increases in cholesterol levels and LDL 'bad' cholesterol. However, if you look at his triglyeride to HDL ratio, it's really really low. ~0.4 to 1. Wilhelm posted some info earlier about how TG/HDL ratio was the best indicator of heart disease: Here's the link to the original article:
The Heart Attack Culprit: Cholesterol Isn't to Blame
Interesting. Wonder what this means for his heart risk if the best indicator looks great but his overall cholesterol levels are high.
Welcome to enlightenment, T.
Check the comment on that blog; whoever commented knows what they are talking about.
If you're taking a vitamin to cover the necessary vitamins to help prevent serious conditions and illnesses from occurring, why wouldn't you just eat the carb that fulfills that role?
From an evolutionary standpoint, it is hard to argue pro for these isolated diets for the mass population. You're trying to defy hundreds if not thousands of years of evolution of the human being. Start to think of how many different fruits and vegetables that could be considered human specific as we would be the only ones to successfully access them.
some of the comments through this thread are just weird... its like they don't bother to read any of the resiurces or studies linked and just make blanket statements based on tehir own (very limited) knowledgem why comment if you're not interested in the WOE?
ppl talk too fkn much and don't think enough
this diet sucks
no veggies or fruits? That's disturbing!
Man ive seen people around the gym on these and they get kind of delusional. I think your brain needs glucose
It does. But your brain gets enough glucose from the conversion of other macros, with the rest of the energy you need provided by ketones. In other words, the body has another mode of providing energy to the brain when not eating any carbs.
Hmm. Once I figure out the specifics, I might incorporate this into my plan. People will give me the weirdest looks as I walk up to the cashier at the grocery store with a cart full of meat.
Question for the knowledgeable: does meat contain vitamins by virtue of the animal having eaten plants containing those vitamins?
So CC's left foot hasnt posted in here in a while.
Can we get an update? Weight, BF%, general feelings?
Weight and BF% still dropping, albeit slower than I had hoped. I have been too busy for a workout because I've been preparing to move. I think my natural weight might be higher than I expected, but who knows.
One lesson I've learned: If you're going to eat steak, get ribeye and cook it rare. Period.
Soon I might transition to very low carb (VLC) due to being kinda bored by the lack of variety. I have always been sort of a food connoisseur, and on VLC I would be able to have probably 90% of my favorite foods.
But for now I'm still meatatarian. It's actually surprisingly hard to stop this WOE. I am very adapted to it now.
