Gone Zero Carb.

Am I the only one here who has absolutely no problems whatsoever on a low carb diet? In fact, I feel 100% better physically and mentally when going lower-carb (aka actually eating right and now chowing down on junk food).

I've done just fine on a high carb diet all my life!

Low carb is okay, assuming 50g or less a day

I wouldnt last on a 0 carb diet which lacks veggies and fiber though

Hrm, I could never go completely no carb..I just subscribe to the "no carbs unless pre, or post work out"..typically post.

If I don't eat carbs for a few days I WILL feel lethargic, sick and "light" in my body (in a bad way).

this does not sound healthy for the heart, and dont you feel slow and like shit all the time.

Leave your shitty politics out of the forum.

It obviously wasn't a joke, right? Because comparing Terrorism to a high carb diet makes sense, right?

If he's the same Gav from rosstraining, I may think he knows absolutely nothing about nutrition. But I'm not that much of an ass.

No, you're not the only one.
Seems like there's quite a few ppl on these forums who feel the same way.

IMHO a low carb diet is one thing but a no carb diet is something else. I was actually on a no carb diet a long time ago and worked out like a maniac but then broke out in hives all over my body. I was on the diet for about a month and a half. Started on the carbs again and everything was back to normal. After I began to eat carbs again my energy level drastically improved which helped with the work outs. Won't ever go back to no carb.

I've tried the zero-carb diet and it works for me. To me it's more of a quick way to drop weight.

I think a lot of the forum is ok on the no carb, but the, not controversy, but interest lies in the ZERO veggies..doesn't make sense to me personally at least.

Vegetables have carbs. If you're ok with no carbs, but can't wrap your head around no vegetables that's just...

Yeah the question isn't whether or not the body can operate with zero carbs (it can). The question is what the point of it is, aside from experimentation or necessity, when you can eat yummy veggies with no detrimental effect, and only positive effects.

Well, yes, I realize that, didn't state what I meant properly :D

I think myself and others can't get our heads around the lack of vitamins and nutrient benefits of veggies, on a true "zero carb" diet.

:)

no veggies is the stupidest thing i've ever heard of regarding diet

it's fucking ridiculous and pathetic

Yeah, we've been over this before. It's neither ridiculous or pathetic. It is extreme, and that's what this thread is about. If you have nothing to contribute other than bullshit negative comments, stay the fuck out.

Actually Mike it is in fact both ridiculous AND pathetic and what I contributed is that declaration. You are right it is extreme and it's also silly. My comment wasn't bullshit it was the truth and I think it was worthwhile.

You could back it up though :)

I don't think Mike's advocating zero carb, he's just advocating the spirit of enquiry that this thread was created in. And when people just come in and post paraphrased versions of "this is stupid you are stupid" over and over they're shitting all over that spirit.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Good post.
