GLORY in financial problems?

There are a lot more than the ones you listed, and many Muay Thai gyms have Boxing trainers.

Thais don't always focus on their hands in matches because it's not scored highly, but there are punch KO's all the time if you actually follow the sport.

I try and follow the sport, but I find it harder to enjoy BECAUSE you RARELY see them actually use their hands. Atleast in most of the fights I've watched from Muay Ties and LMTG. I mean, am I just watching the wrong fights or something? I try to watch guys like Thongchai, Pakorn, Singdam, Saenchai, Petboonchu etc. because they're the best in their divisions or are atleast ranked in Lumpinee, but they just don't punch very often. You say there are lots of KO's from punches yet I rarely see it. This is why I like Jomthong and Yodsanklai, because they throw them alot more than the average Thai, but they're technical with it unlike Pornsanae.

But from what I've seen they're almost always more interested in clinching up with eachother, than actually throwing punches. Clinching is fine in small doses, but I honestly don't enjoy it when that's all they're doing with their hands. I'd also say it's what would hold the sport back from ever becoming popular outside of Thailand.

Listen, I like Muay Thai, as a martial art it has alot to offer. It's use of elbows, it's introduction of low kicks to the rest of the combat sports world and especially it's knees and devastating clinch technique are all great. I just don't like the scoring criteria which limits the use of Boxing. If most Thai's had good hands or atleast weren't afraid to use them for fear of losing a decision because of scoring it'd be alot more interesting to watch imo.

And I"m not trying to shit on it, I'm just being honest.

Meleady started training kickboxing and just didn't like it. Skarvowsky is a Muay Thai guy all the way and very passionate about it, so maybe when he did kickboxing he might have felt he compromised his ethics.

there's 1 camera angle and it's partially below the ropes and the fighters are very little (they're below the ropes as well), you often can't see what's connecting and what's not........these vids look the same as the shitty vids from the nineties

no wonder people can't find the type of mt fights they're eooking for, because you have to go to a shitload of vids that are shot like that......it sucks big time

muay thai like this is not for spectators watching at home

who's debating that? I never said there's no action packed fights in mt, it's only burried in endless of boring fights AND it's crappy filmed AND it has a shitload of traditional stuff that nobody care4s about

UFC, NBA, NFL, MLB etc... have so many subscribers because of its interesting content and clips, not because you can view entire events. Simply put, few give a shit about Glory's content.
