GF encourages suicide by text

I don't think she should have served any jail time. She was not his parent or legal guardian and he was capable of blocking her number if he thought it was detrimental to his survival. The fact is the man wanted to die. It's obvious from his actions. It's too bad someone has to suffer because he made a decision.

Everyday in this world you are bombarded with ads to buy this or to do that and everyday you don't buy this or do that. People are nagged at but thier spouse to do this or do that and people still don't do it. The decision was his. The parents should Stop putting blame on someone else and take responsibility on why they didn't help their son more. This woman was the only one paying him any attention. The parents should be the ones facing jail time.

He either was mentally ill and if so should have looked for medical help through counseling or pills. Or he was just a weak minded person. This world isn't meant for everyone.

Holy shit. Actually struggled to read those texts. Horrible bitch.

You are full of shit. Read the texts. He wanted out. He was backing out. She did everything to convince a person that was suffering to do it. She has Munchausen Syndrome and wanted the attention from having a boyfriend that killed himself. What she did is way worse than a guy waiting in a getaway car where an accidental murder occurs during a robbery and gets charged. Mental influence and abuse is every bit as bad as physical.
I read the texts and you don't know what he said to her outside of them. You don't have enough information to say for sure what her motive was. She might have thought it was really the best thing for him to end his inner suffering or she may have been evil. You don't have enough info to say for sure and are full of shit acting like you do. People should have the right to end their life. He made the choice and was old enough to be accountable for it.

Some people defending her are pathetic.

To me it read like she was getting some kind of sick kick out of it. She enjoyed the power trip.

This guy was looking to her for support. he looked to her thinking (wrongly) "this person I love will talk me down. surely she'll want me to live". No one has the right to actively push someone into killing themselves. she pretty much ordered him to do it. then when it does happen, she pulls the victim card for the attention. she is a horrible human being and I hope she never reproduces. she deserves the worst that is legally allowable.

It sets a dangerous precedent. If she can get arrested for that then anyone talking shit can be charged with a crime, especially if the recipient of the 'verbal abuse' harms themselves.

This case is interesting because he was so receptive to what she said. He really wanted to die. He accepted it and she supported his decision. People on the outside who don't understand the full situation are the ones condemning his own choice.

Starting now I'm going to text everyone I know telling them to become millionaires. Once these people hit it big I expect to be legally entitled to their money because it was me who encouraged them.

There's an article out there that shows the full list of texts between the two, for about a month or two leading right up to his suicide.

She was manipulating him to commit suicide long before the texts that have been shown in mainstream articles.

You are ignorant as hell and have no idea how mental illness works. He was crying out for help and she PUSHED him. If someone has an ailment they get treatment for it. This kid needed a friend. He got An assistant executioner. Teen shot don't have the right to drink. They don't have the right to vote. They shouldn't be able to kill themselves.

Mental illness is not a cookie cutter ailment with a one size fits all cure. I'm not defending her action necessarily, but we can't attribute motive to her based on the available info. Quit trying to pretend you know whether she's a heartless person.

I don't know if you're trolling or a psychopath. If someone young and healthy tells me they want to die I'm going to try to stop them, get them to seek help or contact someone who can get them help. I'm certainly not going to encourage them to kill themselves. If I decided to kill myself, I wouldn't tell anyone, I'd just do it. Telling someone is a cry for help in and of itself.

There are many women like her sociopath, she wanted him to kill himself so she could get the sympathy of her peers many chicks do this they post on facebook about a sick parent, or child and enjoy hearing the I got your back, ill pray for you, its disgusting narcissism.

This chick is clearly mentally ill and lacks human compassion, there are many people like this and you have to blame the enablers.

and those who are supporting her might also be sociopaths as well.

I would try to talk him out of it also, but I don't think you can say for sure that the girl was evil or should serve jail time based on the little bit we know. Maybe she tried to talk him out of it initially and reversed her stance after deciding he was beyond help. You don't know for sure and can't attribute motive based on a few texts.

The next step is charging people with a crime for talking shit or saying something mean that they may or may not later regret.

People are responsible for their own actions when it comes to self harm unless we're talking about a child. I don't know if he was 18 but he was old enough to be accountable.

She has a five head.

I don't think anyone is defending her. There's a difference between saying "she did the right thing" and saying, "I don't think she did anything criminal here."

I think we need to be really careful before we start locking people up because of words they spoke to another person. If I tell you to go jump off a building and you do it, who is responsible for your actions? You or me?

There was an interesting episode of 48 Hours (or was it 20/20?) on this case that I watched a little while back.

I think what it comes down to is that she is mentally disturbed. They both were. She's probably also a psychopath (in the clinical definition of the term).

It's possible she didn't think it would really happen too.

Well if indeed she's a sociopath, then that means she suffers from a medical condition in which her brain doesn't function properly.

Would you say that's her fault? Or do you also blame people who get cancer for their illness?
