Economy Gas Over $3 For First Time In Months

I would love even 3.89 , getting close to 5 bucks again in SoCal
I could have sworn there was a new thing on the ballot which would once again increase taxes on gas?

you might save a very tiny bit with electric............ and even those prices have gone up over the years. essentially, you drive, you pay a lot in california.

According to that article. I did a quick google and my AI Overlords tell me that gas right now in my state is higher than it was a week ago and a month ago (I’m in Wisconsin).
National prices. Really difficult to say what causes increases state by state.

Suck it up, buttercup. The Trump administration is a shitshow. It's going to be a long 4 years for you.
Gas was 270 this morning. I’ll try and survive. You have to compare the price at the same time of year from year to year.

Right off google
On March 18, 2025, the average U.S. gas price was $3.08 per gallon. That's down 11.2% from $3.47 on March 18, 2024. Much to the pain of U.S. consumers' pockets, the average gas price per gallon in 2024 was $3.30, though that's down from $3.52 in 2023

“Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.com, said that lower gas prices "comes with strong warning signs." He added: "when the economy slows, gasoline demand drops."
Those sweet sweet gas prices during the pandemic…

Just think of how much you’re screwing Putin by filling up the tank with expensive gas. That’s what I remember being told a few years ago.

So prices are going up and down at the same time and both are Trump's fault? Lmao

Get a grip

I wasn't even touching on the subject of the thread. I was just pointing out that you better steel yourself instead of going "ZOMG another thread!". We're just getting started. You can do this.

Hah .
everything that was supposed to get cheaper under Trump has gotten more expensive instead. He's going off the rails on the crazy train and we're all along for the ride. I'm not a democrat and hate leftists but have not noticed an improvement in anything since Trump took office and in fact have only seen shit get worse/more expensive. Have we been bamboozled?

Odd.

In January 2025, the US national average gas price for all grades and formulations was around $3.196 per gallon.

The current national average price of regular gasoline in the US is $3.12 per gallon,

Month Ago Average: $3.165 per gallon
