Garry should rematch Shavkat for number 1 contender

Now that Islam is log jamming the division, Garry and Shav should rematch.

I don't think Shav deserves a title shot from his last performance. The fight was too close w too little action. title shots should be based on performance, not just how high ranked the fighter is.

Would like to see the rematch w a stipulation. If the fighters do too much point fighting, neither will receive a title shot.

title shot can go to Buckley or Morales.

Neither guy showed up for the first match. But since then Garry was able to take out the dark horse of the division in Prates. A rematch makes sense, because they will be too inactive if they wait for Islam vs JDM winner

A rematch only makes sense for Garry...it makes no sense for Shavkat. He won the fight...no one argues otherwise...and not every win is going to be a stellar performance (just look at some of Garry's wins). When Shavkat is 19-0 with 18 finishes, he can be excused for one clear decision win (especially if he was indeed injured).

It should not be Shavkat's problem that the UFC is induging in Islam's "I want the next WW title shot...but only if my bud loses his defense" bullshit. He should be next...and if Shavkat is not next, then at worst he could be asked to fight Brady to determine who gets the next title shot (as Brady is the only other guy with even remotely as good a claim, IMHO).

IMHO, Garry needs another win to get a #1 contender fight...he certainly should not walk into one against a guy who already beat him. So let him fight Belal or the winner of Buckley-Usman to either set up a #1 contender fight depending upon how thinks shake out, or to determine who comes next after Shavkat (or Shavkat-Brady, if that is to be).

Whatever happens, I just think it would be *ridiculous* to ask Shavkat to fight Garry again.

Fuck no, as far as contenders go and fresh faces welterweight is looking like the best division in the UFC right now.
Last thing they need to do is slow it down by creating a pointless rematch of a shitty fight we don’t need to see again, so many fresh matchups for the top 10 guys at the moment.

That's dumb on multiple levels.
First thing shavkat should fight Brady for the next contender is obvious.
Second no one wants a quick rematch for a boring fight.
Garry has fresh matchup with anyone else in the top ten.
Three adding excitement scoring is beyond stupid.
