War Wagon Gane is going to shock the world.

Its only an upset since Aspinall is the champ, Gane is a way better technical striker. Tom just has a puncher's chance.
"Puncher's chance" generally means you are a pretty big underdog who might be able to land a lucky KO. I don't think that description applies here. That's more a Derrick Lewis vs. Gane or Derrick Lewis vs. Cormier description.

I'll take the guy stopping everyone with ease over the guy with his foot out the door.

Gane has nearly zero finishing ability so his only path is a 25 minute point fight and that's 25 minutes of dealing with a guy no one else can survive to the first bell with.

I don't even think Gane winning is the interesting thing to debate.

Will Gane make it to the first bell?
That's a legit question.

Slow fat fuck Tui dropped Gane and was a punch away from getting finished. Tom sparks him out or subs him in 2 minutes.

LHW Stuart Austin manhandled and broke Tom, despite a THIRTY POUND size disadvantage. Imagine getting bitched around by a guy 30 lbs lighter in what is Tom's base, grappling, what he had already been training since childhood, and where size is such a huge asset. So don't bother with the excuse that it was a long time ago.

Sometimes shit happens in fights, Serra knocked out GSP. But like you already proved, Gane showed the heart and grit to deal with that adversity when Tai landed the fluke bomb (with Tai being one of the hardest hitters, power and chin are the only reason he's even UFC level) to come back and stop Tai in his tracks.

Gane actually BRAWLED after Tai landed that, just to prove a point, and finished his ass. He wanted to completely beta Tai and show him that he could outdo him in the only thing Tai is good at.

Tom on the other hand broke the one time he faced adversity in a fight. That's the difference.

Clown take (the second part, not the first). No, Gane isn't trash. He's a good HW. But thinking he'll beat Aspinall "really badly" inside 2 rounds standing...just...no. Gane has slick striking but he (like Tom) relies not just on footwork but speed. Except Aspinall is just as fast, probably faster. And hits way harder. And has the grappling threat, which affects how Gane has to deal with his striking.

"Hits way harder".....and yet Aspinall has never faced a fighter with a chin on the level of Tuivasa, who Gane finished. Gane got annoyed in that fight that Tai actually landed something, so he decided to show his brawler side.....believe me he can hit hard when he wants to.

Because he's slurping Jones spunk daily

No reason for the outburst on this thread otherwise with bizarre claims that KO artists Tom who has knocked out most the top 10 in a round can't handle the French pitter patter man who admittedly looks pretty while pitter pattering

French pitter patter man that finished Tuivasa, one of the best chins in the division, above the level of anyone Tom has ever finished....

This fight will go just like the Jones fight. early take down and submission, if he doesn't knock him out first. Jones and Ngannou had no trouble taking Gane down and neither will Tom

Imagine assuming the guy that got bitchfucked by a 30 lbs lighter opponent is on the same grappling level as the one that tossed Olympic wrestler DC to the floor and put his hand on his head like a playground bully.

Yeah he has only finished notoriously weak chinned opponents like Tai Tuivasa standing, the only one to do so aside from pillow fisted Pavlovich. Gane has a technical style, but he can throw with power when he chooses to.

Ask Tai if Gane has no finishing power, he knocked the dogshit stuffing out of him with that shot.

Tom is all the way around better than Gane. The only way Gane wins is by catching Tom on the feet. Other than that I don't see Gane out working Aspinall.

Tuivasa has been stopped in 4 of his last 5 fights, all losses by the way. He is a fat guy with no cardio who doesnt train seriously and becomes a punching bag when he gasses out.

That is not an impressive win.

He shocked the world in that Jones fight that’s for sure.

Ciryl Gane is UFC's most prized can. I can't wait to see him get demolished by reality. They can only prop this guy up for so long.

Have some integrity man, you're a guy posting on an MMA forum, not a career politician....you don't have to post misleading stats to protect your ego, you can just say "wow yeah you're right, he finished Tuivasa on the feet, like no one else EVER has aside from Pavlovich".

You don't have to weasel around and bring up submission losses, which have nothing to do with what anyone said, as no one claimed Tuivasa was a grappling wiz. It's amazing how fragile people's psyches are that they have to lie and obfuscate about friggin MMA in casual forum posts.

In closing, yes it's impressive that Gane finished Tuivasa on the feet, and it shows that he does indeed have finishing power with his strikes, which was the original point.

But also yes thanks for pointing out that Tai isn't an elite fighter overall and can be finished by submission, because I had originally thought he was on the level of Werdum or Jailton etc.

Can you prove Tuivasa's chin is better than say Tybura's? Or you'll just randomly throw out some completely unquantifiable statement and expect it to be accepted. Because that's basically your M.O.

Aspinall has been knocking out top 10 guys inside a round nonstop but yeah let's argue Gane hits as hard.

Gane "got annoyed"...dude was damn near finished the first time he got hit clean. Meanwhile Aspinall eats a decent shot from maybe the biggest hitter at HW in Pav and isn't fazed and smokes him a few seconds later.

But keep the faith, bud. Sell yourself on Gane, and when he gets thrashed you can jump onto the next guy and pray he's the one.

i just want see something happen Nobody saw coming.. not sold and Tom yet.. and think Gane has no real chance but to make it to a decision make a mess of thing's i hoping for double KO o_O<Moves>

Imagine following a sport and knowing precisely fuck all about it

You don't have to keep convincing me you are a retard with consistent shit takes, I'm already sold.

Your whole thing about finishing tuivasa was a shit take.
Perfectly on brand for you.

"Career politician." ...

Guy.. shut the fuck up.

Of course you are sticking up for Gane by dying on the hill of Ganes "finishing ability"

That is a shit take. Which is your thing. ... I get it
