my next keyboard will most likely be a Vega, eventually
I have the polaris 60 ai03 made before this one, and I'd like to keep that one at work.

Do those come put together or is it a kit?

it's a kit, so only the PCB and the case, you have to get the keycaps and switches as well, and have access to a soldering station to put it together.
It might come with a hotswap option as well, but I use ISO NorDEUK layout, so hot swap is almost never an option.
Dead easy soldering though, it's just 2 leads per switch, and it's all through hole. So easy even I can do it.

Think I might get a bit nutty and go for the green one this time around, most of my other ones are pretty boring, colour-wise

What type of switches do you use?
I watch a Dutch streamer and he has complained in the past about Dutch keyboard layouts not being the same. For example, a game might say press T but your Dutch layout doesn't have the T in the same spot as an English layout and they expect you too press the English key. Have you found that to be an issue?

nah, we use standard qwerty so that sort of thing is not an issue like it could be for french azerty or german qwertz or whatever.
As for switches I have a bunch of different ones. In the polaris I used mx creams lubed with TriboSys 3204, no idea what I'll be doing with the next one yet. Might try a silly frankenstein switch like holy pandas or something. got a few spare switches I could take apart and combine in dumb ways to see if any of them work. Just haven't had a ton of time to play around with that stuff lately.

Do any of you guys have experience with Zotac cards?

I usually stick with the tried and true like Asus, Evga etc.. But decided to test my luck with a Zotac Geforce GTX 1660 Super Amp. It has good reviews and was cheaper than most of the others. Looks like it has a good cooler as well.

From what I read it's a chinese brand which explains why their prices are often a little cheaper but for the most part people seem to be saying they are just as good as the other popular brands. Guess I will find out.

Wait a second, there’s countries that don’t use QWERTY for their keyboards? How have I never noticed this before when I’ve gone to Internet cafes while travelling in Europe before? Makes me wonder if the emails that I sent to my family from France in 2003 were full of a bunch of gibberish.

UK keyboards are a little bit different than ours.

Even in the US QWERTY isn't always used, some prefer Dvorak

I spilt a beer on my first mechanical keyboard and ruined it. Now I got one that's "spill proof" it's pretty sweet but after two years it's starting to look dirty. I can't justify getting some custom keyboard and probably ruining it.

I had a Zotac GTX 260 that lasted a decade. I didn’t OC and that wasn’t a high end card though.

Most cards as long as they survive the DOA period will last for years. The components used like capacitors, ram, or even the gpu dies come from a couple of manufacturers. The only thing to really worry about down the road is the fans dying, which are easy to replace.

I did read some posts about Zotac GPU fans being their weak link. The posts all dated back from a few years ago so I assume it's an issue that has been resolved.

Good to know it's an easy fix if they were to fail down the road. Although I will probably have upgraded by then.

Did you guys see the new Corsair 4000D Airflow that launched a few weeks ago? Looks like the new functional king in the sub-$100 space to me. There is also a variant without a window, a non-mesh variant, and apparently a more expensive iCUE variant. I'm only seeing a page for the Standard and Airflow right now.

Fuck me, this thing is sexy. For $80? The Fractal Meshify C just caught a Bugs Bunny metal backhand to the face. It better come back to earth with its pricing. No more of this $100-$110 shit I've been seeing for months.

Received the Airflow case the other day, non RBG version. Installed everything, plenty of space for cable management and the case looks great. Feels high quality. Very satisfied with it.

I really like the dark tinted tempered glass. Some reviewers have that as a negative but for me it's a big plus. Gives it a nice look and it's perfect for people who don't really have a bunch of fancy looking components to show off inside.

Only negative about this case is that there is only one USB port in the front.

nobody had a TCL tv?
I did a cursory look, and they are supposed to be good budget tvs. Serviceable, does what it says, just don't expect bells and whistles.

they review better than the samsung/lg's of the same price range, which is what has me turned around a bit

probably agonising a little too much as the person watching the thing probably won't notice the difference lol, i'm just gonna go for it, costco has top notch returns policy i've been told

Trying to figure out what PC I'm going to build.
I've got a motorized standing desk, so I need to either put the case on the desk or hang it underneath, and I do not want to through the hassle of strapping a big motherfucker like the define r5 under there again, was a huge pain in the ass.
I'm hoping I can fit a ryzen 5900x and a 3070 in something like the nzxt H1, but I guess I'll just have to wait for reviewers to get their hands on the stuff. Hopefully availability is better for the 3000 series come january too.

People are genuinely brain dead at times I was interested in seeing how much RTX 2070 cards where selling for seeing now that the RTX 3070 announcement and sales are around the corner. Given that Nvidia already stated that they made a huge mistake with the RTX 3080 release they plan on having tons more of the RTX 3070 available on launch day. So here you have a 499 dollar card going to start selling on Oct 29 for 499 you would think used RTX 2070 would be selling for under to well under that price. Well I saw one on Ebay 2 mins left at 345 dollars I thought this was my lucky day of course not within 30 seconds it went from 345 to 430 dollars and then 445.00 dollars with a 20 dollar shipping fee. So here you have some brain dead buyer who just forked over 465 dollars for a card that is used and obsolete in 8 days. They could have waited till 6 am on the 29 and taken a shot a better shot at a brand new RTX 3070 for 499. Remember based on reports the RTX 3070 is as fast as the pervious generation RTX 2080 for half the money.

I will never understand the second hand gpu market. it was dumb as shit back when the voodoo banshee came out and it never seemed to get any better.
