Technique is on the side of Fizz but he hasn't fought anyone that hits like Justin.

Fizz has more variety however.

29-28 Fiziev (he always slows in the third and I think that's Justin's time to get back at him) or Gaethje catches him with something big and puts him away.

I'd be more confident in Justin in a 5 rounder but I think over 3 Rafael is going to do enough in the first 10 minutes to build up a big lead.

poirier /gaethe / chandler ….. they never give the young up and comers a chance to move up the ranks - they turn down fights against them .

I'm definitely leaning Fiziev, he's just too damn sharp on the feet for Justin. However, Fiziev has shown himself to be quite hittable, and Justin cracking him can't be ruled out.

4 years ago?? LOL, he fought Ferguson in the spring of 2020. It hasn't even been 3 years yet. Tagging on another year just to spin it for Fiziev? Cute way of trying to knock Justin's power down. The man has serious power, your point about his last KO......he's had 3 fights since the, 2 of which were vs Khabib and Olivera who are the two best LWs in the past decade. And in those 3 fights, his power was on full display. He dropped Olivera multiple time, dropped Chandler and even Khabib said he was the hardest puncher he fought and he's never been hit that hard.

There is nothing wrong with people picking Justin here. People fall in love with technical strikers who have a background in pure striking and think they're levels above guy who come up in mma. A lot of that is complete BS. With all of Fizievs so called striking brilliance, he nearly blew it and lost to an old Bobby Green. The man was getting his head bounced around like a basketball. He fought a competitive fight with Riddell who's a mid level LW himself. And he barely did much vs an older RDA till late in the 5th.

This really is a pick em fight. Fiviez has not been as impressive as his supporters make him out to be. Both guys have advantages over each other in different areas.

Ughhh, that's cute but a complete load of BS. First of all, they've had 3 fights among themselves. Gaethje vs Poirier happened in 2018 when both guys were outside the top 5, Gatehje fought Chandler in 2021 an Poirier fought Chandler in 2022. So this narrative of them hanging in the top 5 and not fighting anyone else is BS. There's literally been 2 fights from these guys while they're in the top 5.

Second, this isn't everyone gets a turn and giving handouts just cause Arman and Gamrot are crying about not getting bigger fights. Plain and simple, none of those guys deserved those bigger fights yet. This whole thing that's been going around the top 5 not giving the new contenders a shot is just plain stupid. There is literally nothing in for them. Why would Dustin Poirier fight any of those guys fight em? The UFC doesn't want to make those fights.

And lastly, the UFC never actually offered any of them those fights. Just cause Arman goes on twitter and cries stomping his feet like a kid cause he can't get a bigger fight, doesn't mean they were actually offered. The first time an actual new contender was offered to a top 5, the fights was accepted by Gaethje. In fact, Gaethje called for the fight himself. Chanlder was never offered any of those guys and neither was Poirier. Just cause someone calls another fighter out on twitter or IG, doesn't mean those fights are actually offered.

Did you not read the part of my post where I said this is a pick em fight?? Did I actually make a prediction?

I am not favoring anyone in this fight yet, but I am saying you're full of S##t for underestimating Justin and being highly critical of him.

Justin really can't be overrated. He's earned his position as one of the best LWs over the past 5 years. If there is anyone who actually should be given respect for consistently fight top competition and winning it's Justin.

Either have great chances, I think gaethje have a much better boxing and have really nice uppercuts and overhands, his hooks are a bit wide and releckless, but certainly have power in it.
Fiziev in other hand, have extremely fast and powerful roundhouses and switch kicks, of both sides , and have a good lead hook.

I don't know who have the better chin, gaethje always have a good one, but he's taken a lot of damage recently, fiziev chin is a bit unproved to me so I can't say about this.
Fiziev cardio don't look that great against RDA , I think ATM is his biggest weakness.

Gaethje inst know exactly to have the highest IQ, but he's a veteran, I think his experience will count on it.

For gaethje : is better to him walk foward on that, I think he should keep it at punching range punishing fiziev every time he opened his guard, I can see he throwing some TD attempt to set up an well timed overhand, and even tiring fiziev with clinch work in 1st round.

For fiziev : fiziev should keep this figth at kicking range, since is his best weapon.
Fiziev already have a really good TDD, as we saw against RDA, so I don't think gaethje can put him down, so is better to.him work in his clinch game.
Keep the distance with teeps, jabs, chopping the leg, and using hook punches only to counter when gaethje trys to get in.

Gaethje is a shallow technical fighter who has almost no striking defense whatsoever. His game falls apart if his opponent knows how to defend a leg kick.

Fiziev was literally the striking coach at Tiger Muay Thai. Also he knows how to defend a leg kick.

Surprised this accurate analysis was was so far back. Lot of ppl out here saying Justins leg kicks will decide the fight lmaooo. We've already seen him crumble when Charles started blocking his kicks. Gaethje is sloppy and limited, fiziev wrecks him
