The height is a little short the reach will be a problem as he climbs the ranks

Din was correct.

Wrestling is the Strongest.

A 25 year old heavyweight gold medalist training with Jon Jones? How could he not get hype. Almost guaranteed he is top 5 level if he is fully committed.

If he develop powerful standing thappad and strong brace timing he is unstoppable ji 🐃

Maybe he spend 2-3 year #PowerSlap combine he is ready to try UFC yaar 👍🏽🥛

Natty jacked 260+ pounders like Ngannou and Brock aren't the norm.
Ngannou has weighed in as low as 252, weighed in most recently at 257.8, and has weighed in below 260 much more frequently than above for MMA. He's not nearly as big as Lesnar, or even as big as people think he is. Yes, he's a really big HW, but that means he's 250-255 jacked by HW standards. He could easily make cruiserweight (225) with a moderate water cut if that MMA division existed.

You guys are comparing Steveson to 2' 11" middleweight Deron Winn?
No?

6' 1" is plenty tall for HW if everything else is dialed in, especially with elite wrestling. If Steveson ends up being a bust in MMA, it won't be because of his height.
Wow I had no idea, I mean Cain, Fedor and DC are all 6'1 and under, but still I had no idea.

IIRC he went from 250ish to around 260 or over after training at the UFC PI and possibly adding acai berries to his diet or something but my numbers could be off. My point was that he was a bigger dude with more muscle mass and lower bf % than most UFC champs but as other HW champs have shown, you don't have to be that big to be elite at HW.

No?

My apologies. You compared DC to 2' 11" Deron Winn. Neither DC nor Steveson are in the same ballpark as Deron Winn in relative height. Winn is listed as 5' 6" and I'm not convinced he's even that tall, which is still comically short for MW putting him at a severe disadvantage. Cormier is listed at 5' 11" which is shorter than average for HW but not comically so.

If you look closely, the quote says "more like Winn" (than Stevson), not "is Winn".

You're trying to split hairs my dude. You responded to the OP (calling Steveson a HW Deron Winn) and brought DC into the discussion with the response below:

DC was more like the HW Winn, 5'11" with a 72" reach.

I don't think DC belongs in a discussion about hypothetical manlets at HW and I don't think there's ever been a UFC HW you could really compare to Winn. It's OK if you disagree. The closest thing to a "HW Winn" I think we've seen is 5' 8" (King of Manlets) Vovchanchyn who did pretty darn OK in Pride.

I have met him, he's legit. I am short shit at 5'7 and was only up to his chin and he seems much thicker than one would expect (I have a pic but I cannot find it). He is at least 6 ft. I think he will be fine in the transition, especially in this era. If he learns a handful of subs and learns some quick transitions from striking to takedowns, he will be number 2 in the UFC.
5'7 sherdogger?

Mods, take proper action.
