Right now Fargo is the best thing on TV next to Game Of Thrones. Show is fucking stellar. The last episode was UNBELIEVABLE.

Agreed. Hannibal is decent as well.

Isn't it interesting seeing Lester's downfall here. Is it a case of constantly being bullied, pushed around, told what to do, told he's good for nothing and a weakling by basically everybody his whole life that throws him over the edge to become diabolical? Or was he always like this, he was just too weak willed to finally act on his primal urges?

He is the complete reincarnation of Jerry Lundeegard lol. Yeah indeed. Show is criminally unpopular as well, in correlation to how great it is. Yes, I dig Hannibal too; it definitely got stronger this season.

Fargo owns FX now. Way better than Sons of Anarchy without question, even at this short point.

Sons of Anarchy had a few good seasons and a few really bad seasons... it's lucky to be on the air still but in those few good seasons developed some really strong characters and I think it's what kept it so popular.

Justified really fell off, this past season just got really boring for some reason. I thought it was close to SoA as it had some good seasons as well, but man, can't even watch it anymore.
 
Yeah, Sons has lost it's luster. Was never a super fan of the show but like Walking Dead it is too inconsistent.
 
I have read several articles claiming this show is doing very good in ratings while others say just ok. I don't see how they can't go for another season with how positive the critical reception has been.

justified and SOA were both doing better in their debut seasons but SOA really took off from season 2 on with ratings increases well over 100%

breaking bad and GOT also had underwhelming 1st season ratings but took off because of good critical reception.
 
Last episode was really great. I was laughing and admiring how resourceful that weasel Lester was. At this rate, I think he might get away with everything at the end of the season.

So pissed off at Grimly accidentally shooting Molly. If Molly's still alive, then it could mean that the investigation would also slow down since she's on the sidelines.

I kinda feel bad for Chumph. Sure he was naive and slow but I didn't want that grizzly death to be his fate.

It's a mini series because it's a true story. The story eventually ends. Sadly.
 
Gotta admit, have been underwhelmed by last two episodes. Lester still a good character. He's a bit smarter than Lundegaard. Possibly more of a sociopath though. Lundegaard was just a dimwitted loser. Nygard is genuinely kind of bad.

My main problem is Malvo. Guy bugs me. The villains in the movie still seemed like real people with souls, even The Swede/Marlboro Man.

therell prob. be a flashback scequence next ep.

amd yeah,ichumps death was cruel.
i thought malvo would give him an easy death for cooperating
 
That last episode was pretty fucking brutal. I'm liking the show but that was a bit excessive.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's not based on a true story. I remember reading an article where one of the Coen brothers put that disclaimer up at the beginning to set a tone for the movie. I am assuming the show is doing the same.

Tremendous show however.
 
Did anyone lol when "that autistic kid eh" looked at Lester than looked away. I burst out laughing. That is the one loose end that Lester fucked up with but they wouldn't believe the kid anyways if he talked.

I was laughing at what Lester did after watching that photograph of his brother with his family. For a moment there, it looked like Lester grew a conscience and decided not to frame his brother.

So the likeliest scenario for the kid is that he brings the gun to school unknowingly and get busted there. Don't really see how he gets exposed unless there's a metal detector at the entrance (which I doubt). It'll probably fall off his bag or he picks it up by surprise in front of his classmates.

I actually hung out with Allison Tolman (Molly) tonight for a brief time. We have a mutual friend that wrote a play that debuted this weekend. I have not watched this show, but I may start. My friend keeps telling me to give it a try because Allison is in it. Frankly, I was waiting for a more compelling reason, like someone saying it's good. Based on some input I've gotten here, I'll watch an episode I think.
