FX's FARGO Discussion Thread

They treated the wound and saved his hand, do you think he'll come out of this OK?

Not really. The pellet is out and so will the truth. If the cops are smart, they'll trace the cloth back to Chief Thurman and raise questions on the inconsistencies of Lester's story. But then again, they've shown Lester getting out of seemingly inescapable situations, who knows.

It really stinks that this is only a mini-series. With writing this good, you're darn tootin' I'd be down for a few more stories.

This show continues to be gold. Lester is an annoying character but the actor does such a great job I enjoy him regardless.

He should have tased the deaf guy and killed both of them.

Holy shit, a lot went down in tonight's episode.

Who's gonna translate for the deaf fella now?

it was due to a winter tornado

Lake Superior doesn't freeze. You really do learn something new each day.

Who's gonna translate for the deaf fella now?

The guys at the dinner table are going to flip when they get the news. The deaf guy will probably get some kind of backup if he doesn't go after Malvo alone.

While it was an entertaining episode, it appears to have opened quite a few plot holes. Mainly the situation with Lester leaving the hospital. He had to have been gone several hours. The patient he posed as would presumably say something about what had happened. There would be no radiology records unless Lester was there for the procedure. The nurse began looking when she saw the empty bed, yet didn't check the room?

Lester was able to return, get back to the bed and was returned to the room and the nurse didn't suspect anything? What about the other guy moaning in Lester's bed? The cop/another nurse didn't check on Lester the entire time he was gone? Maybe they will patch some of these problems but I don't know if that is possible. It seems very poorly thought-out but who knows what is to come..

I feel like an arse for it because damn near everything is so awesome in this show but surely there'd be cameras? I did think of it at the time and then told myself off for it.

Yes, well one or two of the obvious things can be overlooked but in its entirety seems sloppy. When the nurse started looking, how many places could he have gone? Wouldn't she alert someone? Even so, he suddenly appears back in the bed, is wheeled back to his room and the real guy is still covered up (and the nurse doesn't bother to check on "Lester"). There had to have been a better way. It is so poorly done there has to be more to it.

As for next week...

In the preview, it looks like Malvo pays a visit to Fargo with Mr. Numbers' gun. Either that or he's going after Stavros.
