Haha, thanks Viking. I hope your managing to not go insane with the absence of MMA. This break always sucks. Who you got for Conor vs Dustin?
It’s a tough haul making it through the days of no MMA. Hope you’re hanging in there. Happy new year by the way.
Dustin vs. Conor is a tough call. I’m a sucker for a redemption/underdog story so would love to see Dustin take the W. I wonder if mentally he can get past the loss from 6 years ago though. Conor really got to him in the lead up to that one and obviously embarrassed him in the cage. Hoping Dustin’s head is right.

Thanks buddy, happy new year to you as well. Yeah, I think Dustin is mentally a solid guy at this point. Hes really risen to the occasion often and hes really well equipped for this fight. The thing about Dustin is hes good for 5 rounds. So I think its the classic matchup of "how do you navigate those first two rounds". After that, I think Dustin will have a shot at really putting it on Conor. Gun to my head, I pick Conor. But I think Dustin has a great shot.

You’ve got a great take on this one my man. Speaking of, are you going to do your “hot takes” threads again? I thought those were a lot of fun.
Here my “hot take” for this one:
-Conor comes out looking to counter with power shots early
-Dustin looks sharp and evades the power counters, landing a few sharp combos in round 1
-Conor looks fresh at the start of round 2, maybe all that bicycling is finally paying off? He stays on the outside, trying to bait Poirier into doing something reckless.
-Dustin charges forward at the end of round 2 and rocks Conor with a crisp one-two! McGregor stumbles and then goes for a double leg! Dustin can’t fight it off and goes down!
-In between rounds, Kavanagh gives Conor some advice that isn’t quite picked up by the broadcast microphone. Conor has a surprised look on his face but nods in acceptance. McGregor looks to have recovered from being rocked but he is looking a little gassed.
-Across the octagon, Dustin is looking confident and ready to pour it on in Round 3.
-They come out for 3, both circling and looking for an opening...Dustin charges in with a combo and as he does so, to the surprise of everyone except Kavanagh and Conor, McGregor ducks under and gets the take down again!
-Dustin looks shocked as he tries to protect himself from the bottom.
-A few submission attempts from Dustin, but Conor’s SMOTHERING top control is too much.
- As round 3 nears to a close, Conor locks up a Von Flue choke, forcing Dustin to tap with just 8 seconds left in the round!
- As Conor is announced as the winner, Khabib enters the octagon and wraps the LW belt around McGregor’s waist. They share a hug and in the post fight, we learn that Conor has secretly been apprenticing under Khabib since early 2019.
-In an unexpected twist, Joe Rogan lights Dana up with an axe kick during the post fight while yelling, “OH! HE’S HURT!”, over and over again until security escorts him from the premises.

The JBG is pleased and smiles down upon us all.

You had me going there in the first half buddy {<jordan}

There’s only one way to settle this.

@bigwaverider 1v1 MW in cod <JRSmith40>

Halo 1 brah. I used to be good. Like near pro good. Used to be in CAL which is the amateur league of the Cytherathlete Professional League. Got all kinds of goodies under sponsorship. Free Servers, 4 of em for my clan, video cards, mice, mouse pads etc..

Hahaha daaaang. That’s crazy. I’ve never been that good at a game. I’ve been good but I switch too much from game to game to ever excel like that. I can only imagine getting cooked by a young BWR in halo then getting hit with some nasty shoops making fun of me <Moyes5>

Halo was the only game I was great at.. well my version of great. I was always decent/good at gaming but when I got Halo I just understood it. It's like you practice something for years (like Photoshop) and you finally "get it". I was like that with Halo but near instant. It was a miracle really. Gaming is a whole 'nother level when you are playing in National and International leagues.Now I just play Starcraft 2 vs CPU haha.

My two nephews are real pro gamers now. When they were young I would build them gaming computers and they would fart around, but now they are up there at the top. My one nephew came in top 10 out of 100,000 recently for Fortnite (I was hoping for him to get top 100).
