Francis Ngannou: First PFL Opponent to Receive $2 Million Guarantee

Good for him.

And unlike others to talk a big game, he actually did it. And the clause about his opponents just shows what a good guy he is.

How do you explain that Dana shills?
That type of deal is gonna bury pfl. I hope you like seeing companies go out of business, because that type of model is unsustainable.

Now imagine if they put Kayla, Jake paul and frank on there first ppv and it bombs at 100k while the have a payout of 20 million or so!!

Franks new nickname should be organization killer if this a tally happens

Someone, please explain to me how in the heck pfl makes any money at all?

This type of business model is a recipe for disaster and not manageable for long term success.

Strikeforce was way better known and had way better talent and they folded and unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised if this company is bankrupt by the time frank is supposed to fight
Strikeforce didn't fold. They were profitable when UFC bought them.

It's revealing that 90 percent of the anti-Francis crowd is still violently and hysterically anti-Francis after seeing this.

It's past the time to simply admit that the dislike for Francis is 100 percent due to racism, and the resentment that a Black man in the poorest circumstances of life did more with his life than 99 percent of non-Black people born in the US or Europe, despite having maybe one percent of their opportunity.

In no other circumstance do such people side with management/owners (who "coincidentally" are White or otherwise not people-of-color) over labor (which is comprised of the rich diversity of the world, as much as some dislike that fact), AFTER the claims of management are ENTIRELY disproved.

The "haters" revealing themselves BIG time on this one.
I'm not sure anyone Hates frank it just a terrible deal in a business sense for a non draw and is unsustainable when they do not get returns on a poor investment

Who’s a big name in PFL? None.. how he gonna sell ppv?

Since it's a "superfight" division I'm thinking they will find some old washout, youtuber or boxer crossover for him to fight. Can't see them actually paying 1-2 million for a no name opponent when so much is dependent on them making that ppv a success

That doesn't even make sense what you said.. there's only 100% ownership of a company in shares and the people you listed is like 130% in company ownership.. unless the initial owners only have 51% which then its making sense. Ablnd that 51% gives the majority ownership
Huh? Why are you quoting me? I didn’t say that

This is not smart business
Some people don't only care about how much money they can make, he basically said he was set for life when he left the UFC. Money has no value if you don't want to spend more than you already have.

Strikeforce didn't fold. They were profitable when UFC bought them.
They folded because they sold-out! Why did they sellout? Because they saw it was the best time to sell because there was no where to go but down.

It was the actual first time they made profit and the company was worth there invest over that past decade. To be honest they probably just broke even with a minor profit gain if at all after losing money for a decade

They have a while to figure that part out since Francis won't be fighting until estimated mid 2024. The 2 million guarantee looks pretty enticing I'm curious to see how that works out trying to get him an opponent.

You said the initial owners had 60% ownership jake paul 25% Francis 15% and someone else 15% no? If not my apologies brother
No I didn’t. It’s the other guy lol

I am the one who is saying I don’t understand why everyone and their mother owns a piece of PFL.

I was actually hoping that you can extrapolate the mma promotion earnings for me, based on the data you provided about the wrestlers fighters pay. Thank you.

No, thank you. I already messed up by giving you fighter pay to a post in which you didn't at all specify organizational revenue. I'd rather not get tangled in your troubled relationship with knowledge.

You know franks isn't getting less than 8mil I'm sure of it. That 10 mil for 2 guys, what is the rest of the cards payout 10/10?

It's not like a pay per view with him heading is gonna do huge numbers anyways. They are going to tank so dang fast.

I bet there Gate barely does a million

It is ok to admit you own stupidity. I mean how would you know if there is a promotion behind those wrestling fights at all, it can be organized by the government. Maybe those salaries based on sponsorship or provided by local autorities representing each fighter. But at least you tried.

Sounds like a failing business model. PFL might not even be around a year from now lol

The Fertitta's sold Zuffa and the UFC to the WME-IMG group in 2016... was the UFC not profitable at that time?

Businesses are bought and sold daily. It has nothing to do with being profitable or not.

Believe me, the lesson is learned. Information is not what you use when you form opinions.

I don't have high expectations for this. I think it's a bad business move but really it's not my money nor my risk so whatever. I think it's realistic they can find a decent opponent if they'll be paying 2 million.

We need a Dana shoop for the Ali pic.

Dana is blowning this thread up.

Fedor coming out of his 2nd retirement?
A juiced reem rematch?
Bader if PFL buys bellator?
An unknown Eastern European wrestler who could lay on him?

What would be a big fight in mma? Is this the ppv model? Who vs francis is worth a ppv fight?
Who is worth the 2 million?

They better hope there is some free agents leaving soon because the landscape is scarce. Francis was smart to leave he was one oblique kick away from jones from being done

He will get the Jones fight in PFL when Jones finishes his UFC contract.
Watch and see
