I like Russell Wilson but , he is 36 years old and isn't as quick a decision maker as he once was. He is still mobile and still has a great arm but he doesn't see things as quick as he once did. And he now MUST have a stud running game, needs to be in third and short. needs a D thinking run? pass? if third and long he's not the same. He struggles in that situation.

His first decade of pro football he had the best first decade we have seen if talking numbers. He is the only QB to have over 5000 rushing yards and over 45.000 passing yards, he is the only member of that club. Nine pro bowls, and in 2020 he was ranked number 2 by the players in that best NFLers poll.

But......he isn't that guy anymore so if I'm the Steelers I sign him for one more season if he shows up big ok redo his next contract. I do let Fields walk, he simply can't throw a football at the NFL level.

Wilson is number 13 all time passing TD's, second all time TD/INT ratio, top 4 career passer rating, number 4 QB rushing.

Pete Carroll is back in the NFL, he's now the Raiders head coach, he needs a QB ....hmmmm?

That is from his high school days, he actually led the nation (HS kids) with a 24-11 leap. And......he had an older bro named Roger who was a world ranked sprinter who once beat the great Bob Hayes***** Roger was also a great footballer but too small for the pro game at 160ish pounds.

Obviously Gale had some serious jets but there is nothing about a 100 time, but if guessing......9.5.....sounds about right.

***** Hayes did avenge the loss to Sayers, actually only one sprinter ever beat the Bullet he didn't avenge, that would be Jimmy "Peach Head" Douglas (red headed black dude) he beat the Bullet at the Florida state HS champs. Before they ever raced again Douglas was gunned down in some gang related incident, the classic......what might have been.

I dont like to play this........the refs did......stuff but damn, that was a first down and it was easy to see. Even that retired ref said it. That was a huge play.

Anyway....

I do think it is time to put Mahomes in with the ultimate elite at QB the guy really is amazing.

The Steelers wil be making a big mistake if they keep Fields over Russell Wilson, BUT.......I'd rather see Wilson back with Pete Carroll, no not a Raider fan. Do like Carroll.

I'm a Niner fan, but not too thrilled paying Purdy the HUGE $$$$, ok with 40m not that 60m stuff that's ridiculous.

We make it just fine making a fraction of that kind of $$$$$$$$$. just how much do these guys need, AND commercials. sheesh~~~~
