Right now is your statement true? Sure. Was your statement true back when Floyd was a Welterweight and Cotto was still a JWW, or when Cotto was a WW and Floyd was fighting at 154?.
surely, you dont mean to say that there wasnt better competition than Sharmba Mitchell when Floyd entered 147. Even little limited Hatton entered the division against Collazo, a much tougher task. Clottey certainly would have been a much better challenge than any of the welterweights Mayweather has faced. Margarito beat enough ring top ten welterweights to "deserve" a fight as much as anyone let alone a shot mitchell or 9 loss baldomir. Baldomir was a stiff intended to set up Zab for the Mayweather fight. a year after fighting mayweather and Baldomir is struggling on telefutura. And Zab managed to lose to him, and Floyd fought both of them. Thats what an all time great does, in his prime? seriously?
