Did you know about the negative reputation before you moved there? Some guy said I can hardly count to potato because I said that Canadians don't really associate Florida with the negative stereotypes of other Southern states or believe it to be largely full of derp.

I was talking about Idaho. Not Boise. Idaho definitely has white supremacists and potatoes. I'm pretty sure I saw advertisements for both when I crossed over.

I only learned via research before I moved down. It was that or socialist frogdom and the new job made it worth it. But yeah I only realized just how fucked it was after the third crazy thing happened in like a few months (Zimmerman, the guy who shot someone for listening to rap, and some other fucked up thing) and I started seeing all the Florida death star gifs on sherdog.

FL actually has many redeeming qualities, but it also has lots of ghetto and Alabama-ishness in it as well.

Thats brutal and too bad. Idk where the reputation of idaho having white supremacists comes from. Thank you Gandhi. I saw that Bugs Bunny sawing off Florida gif yesterday and I was completely confused as to why he would do that because I've heard bad things about other states before but never about Florida. It's weird how it's not a huge stereotype here yet but it seems like it's been common knowledge in the US for a long time.

A similar thing happened out on the Oregon Coast recently. A mom threw her little boy off a 250 ft bridge and then called the cops and told them the same..

I hear some heavy shit in my job, but thinking about what would be going through the child's mind as their parent threw them away makes me has a sad.

I've lived in Florida my entire life and I can confirm it is a shithole, but it's a diverse shithole. The cultures vary greatly by location, so you can find every type of asshole there is in Florida.
