Social Fixing California

Again, the rural areas without the crime and problems are held hostage by the dependent voters in the cities. Bribed to vote for progressives with their welfare checks and subsidized housing funded by the big businesses and tax base built up over decades when they were conservative states.

Again, this guy is posting stuff without looking it up. Median household income in urban areas in CA is about 30% higher than it is in rural areas, and LFP is much higher in urban areas. The tax base has obviously been rising sharply. At this point, my dude's indifference to the truth of what he's saying should be regarded as dishonesty rather than simple incompetence.

California is a beautiful state, but too crowded for my liking. I’d certainly live there before I lived in Texas, however. Texans take an inordinate amount of pride in a state that more or less sucks (thanks for the music, though). Listening to a Texan talk, you’d think the state was like Montana. I like Nevada, but it is too arid.
I would have loved to see California when it was a frontier, what an amazing place it must have been; enormous salmon runs, grizzly bears (you know, that animal you have on your flag that doesn’t exist in your state?) roaming from the mountains to the beaches, beautiful un-dammed rivers flowing into the sea.
It seems the best think that can happen for California is for people to leave.

Northern (and I mean far northern) California is pretty much what you described minus the grizzly bears. The Smith River area and the Siskyou Mountains are pretty much a people free paradise that almost nobody knows about.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Northern California. It’s certainly not as crowded as Southern or Central California, and is very scenic.

It’s still a little too trammeled for my taste but I could live there happily, though I’d have to build up my tolerance to poison oak. The salmon runs are pretty poor unfortunately but that’s the case in OR and WA anymore, too.

I'm just counting down the days until sea levels rise and flush California away. Then the first thing I'll do is doggy-paddle in Arizona Bay.

Don't you listen to Trump? Climate change is #fakenews...

Anyways, I moved to Oregon with several friends almost a decade ago because of all the people and the expensive rents. A couple of friends went off to Boise a few years back when the prices started skyrocketing here in Portland. Now the same thing is happening in Boise. Every large metro is experiencing high costs of rent.

Mostly the poor people are leaving, it's truly wonderful. If you can't afford to live in the GOAT state you can simply leave LOL.

Nah the poor people are staying. It’s the middle class that’s dipping.

If things had worked out differently my wife & I would have moved back to SoCal last month instead of Arizona. She had a job all lined up in her field that would have paid her almost twice what she's making now but things occurred that changed our plans. Now, that we're here, we love it here in Sedona but my wife still misses the city of Orange where she was born & raised. Though, if she'd have taken the job that she was offered we'd have lived in either Newport Beach or Costa Mesa.

Yes. It's perfect and low cost, yet everyone is jealous because they can't afford to live there. Sounds like a California apologist.

Lol @ this palpable, poor person anger.

Gruesome what jealousy does. Truly.

Imagine being in an economic situation where 'middle class' isn't defined as poor.

You've really revealed your hand here.

Property tax is the biggest scam in the world. It makes no sense at all. My place in BKK is worth $700k and I pay $0 a year in property tax.

The Land of Smiles and No Property Tax is how I always heard it described...maybe the first part has to do with the second part.

It's the taxes and absurd policies
they added a $3 to all tobacco products to pay for the moochers on MediCal
Now, even people that aren't citizens can get funded HC. That's a bit much IMO

well way past 'a bit'

We have the highest gas taxes and some of the worst non New England/Penn roads

highest poverty rate
highest % of homeless
highest % of welfare recipients

most overrated state? you can't help that which won't help itself... and you know what "the best weather" gets you? it makes you soft, to the point that any adverse weather is seen as terrible and something to avoid...

Oof. Never seen a poor hand wave 3rd world weather conditions this way.

I bet you think things like "a working car", "electricity", and "plumbing" makes one 'soft' also LMAO. Just admit you can't afford to live in CA, you poor.

Those of you in red states better goddamn hope the houses of cards in places like Cali and NY holds up. You wan't your federal tax subsidies coming from California because GOP states typically can't stay in the black due to their financial policies.

Dumb bitches, why you using your thumbs?! Weak!!

And it's not just California people. Nevada (like Conorado) is state ripe for voter fraud with postal ballots and politicians shamelessly fighting all measures to stop illegals from voting.

We've seen a lot of electoral fraud, particularly by Republican politicians, but voter fraud, even when investigated by the White House' own commission, found nothing of this rampant voter fraud the President and people like you keep talking about.

You gonna talk about the 40 million illegal alien voters in the last election that robbed Trump of getting every electoral college vote possible?
