Elections First Ever Transgender State Senator Elected

Neither of those memes are true. They are both based on fundamentally misunderstanding the topic they are attempting to satirize.

Sure they are.

Let's dive into analysis shall we?

Meme #1 claims that transgenders couldn't accept themselves. It's obvious this is true, as if it wasn't, they wouldn't be transgender. Easy.

The second claim is that they want to be accepted by everyone. This is also true, and to state otherwise would be a complete and total falsehood. Pretty much every company has policies specifically naming them as being welcomed and part of their diversity. Let's not kid each other here.

So, meme #1, both claims are completely true. Prove otherwise.

Meme #2. Feminists in America cry oceans of tears over how hard they have it, such as "mansplaining" or "manspreading" while women in predominantly second and third world countries are considered property, and treated worse than animals. You can literally Youtube videos of it all day long, men beating their wives unconscious in the streets or killing them, while people walk past normally, like it's a sunny Sunday afternoon. Forced marriages, religions that allow beatings, look up Quran 4:34 for shits and giggles.

Meme #2 proven true, refute by proving otherwise.

It's a biological condition. There are many perfectly sane, rational transgender people.

It's actually a fascinating and profoundly misunderstood topic. You really should watch that video I posted.
Lol, I like this new schtick!

It's funny that you think this is a convincing argument.

Meme 1 is based on the idea that transgender people "can't accept themselves"

The problem with that is that they are transgender. "Accepting" the gender that they were assigned is the lie. Living life as who they actually are is the truth.

A trans woman is a trans woman. She is not a man who refused to accept the fact she is a man, she is a trans woman who accepted the fact that she is a trans woman.

Since the basic premise is flawed, the assertion that it's somehow wrong to want to be accepted for who you are is also wrong.

Meme #2- Based on the idea that western feminists have no legitimate complaints and women in muslim countries are all victims.

A ridiculous oversimplification of the issues and a simpleminded attempt to simultaneously undermine feminism and attack muslims. Zero nuance, very little insight.

Not as complete a failure as Meme#1, but certainly not /thread worthy memecraft.

"she"

She won an election. How is that tokenism?
"token women" as women who may be unqualified to hold jobs in, for example, the male- dominated building trades and are hired "primarily because they are women."

Transgender is the second most boring conversation topic in the world, after race.

For all the fuss about transgender rights, I have never actually met a transgendered person in my life.

Reading the Oap made me a little sick.

Is the the War room now?

All that matters is how well they do the job. Hopefully didn’t get elected just because they’re trans.

I'm guessing it has to do with their passability, TS.

The person in the OP is a very passable woman, so their experiences and achievements are foisted up.

It is a form of transphobia.

Why do only some get to decide when a transgender woman may be considered a woman and when she is to be considered a "woman +"? Why isn't all such differentiation labeled transphobia?

What are you drinking? She is a guy dressed as a chick

As long as she's good at her job who gives a fuck?
