Media Firas Zahabi says Fedor would KO Prime Cain Velasquez

I dunno. Aside from the fact that the Bigfoot fight happened when Fedor was already declining, Bigfoot is like 280 lbs in the cage. Cain is roughly the same height and weight as Fedor, I think Fedor would do ok defending the TD from Cain. Not to say that Cain wouldn’t ever get Fedor down, I’m sure it’d happen at some point. But Fedor has very dynamic submissions, and top notch sweeps and scrambles.
I get Fedor was a bit past it when he fought Bigfoot, but I've never seen him have success off his back against someone who has both good top control and good BJJ. Arona and Bigfoot (black belt) were the only two (afaik) he fought off his back who had good BJJ and top control, and he couldn't get up for the most part.

Arona had elite BJJ, and that was only Fedor's 4th pro fight, but people always bring up Cain getting rocked a couple times by Kongo at the beginning of his career when he was still very green on the feet.

Prime Fedor can finish anybody, but Cain and DC just seem like bad matchups for him imo.

He got up just fine against Arona though. He even swept Arona when Arona had full mount. He swept Nog when Nog had top position. And maybe not the greatest example, but even an old, shopworn Fedor swept Chael, Chael historically has good top control.

Its most defitely the case. He is right but it could also go either way. Fedor could get grappled or tko'd.

fedor cant even stop take downs from middleweights. Sea level pre injury streak cain would plook fedor.

Fedor is my absolute favorite fighter of all time but I think Firas might not be considering how Cain's from a newer more improved generation.

Every 5 years the crop is just better.
HW is an exception to this rule..

Lmfao negative. The HW division is shit and has been for a while.

Cain had a weakness. He would charge in without much defense. Ngannou and Kongo were able to take advantage of it but only one had the power. Fedor has the power and he was quick but in a cage he would literally get once chance to get it done. Fedor would not worry much about Cain's ground game due to his SAMBO background and especially subs. I think Fedor wins in a ring while Cain wins in a cage.

Not sure the Ngannou fight is applicable. Cain hadn’t fought in 3 years and had been crippled by injuries.

I’ll never forget how the mythical Fedor got put down like he just took a shotgun blast by a Middleweight or got beaten like he stole something by Bigfoot Silva lmao.

Don't know. Don't care. Both were bad motherfuckers in their prime.

Revisionist bullshit. How was Fedor declining? Jumping into the guard like a dumbass against a BJJ champion like Werdum somehow means you’re declining? No it means you’re a dipshit.

He was like a -800 favorite against Bigfoot so not everyone was sipping the same bullshit as you were that he was declining.

JDS did

Cain was very hittable.
He matched up well against Bigfoot and JDS in the rematches.

Prime Fedor fought and beat K1 Champions, BJJ Champions and NCAA Wrestling Champions.

Not to mention, Prime Fedor was also undefeated in Sambo alongside his undefeated MMA career.

He matched up well against everybody. He was obviously passed it when he lost to Werdum, who is probably the luckiest fighter of all time.

Cain would've put Feeder on the ground and fucked him in every hole.
