Firas: Conor is a bully fighter - gassed to Diaz due to psychological issues

I don't necessarily agree. I don't think Conor gassed at all. He was barely even breathing heavy after the first round. He out pointed Nate in round one.
In round two he was scoring as well but he was following Nate around with his hands down and without any respect for Nate. He got tagged on the chin and never recovered
End of round one, right before Nate took Conor down, Conor threw a very slow roundhouse kick which almost looked like he gave his leg. Seemed like fatigue.

Anyway, Firas is just speculating and using bro science.

covering his ass for picking McGregor last time. LOL

a bit off topic, but. ok, now seeing a video that i realized, this fuck wants to do a nate TRILOGY if he wins on 202

he NEEDS to lose. not only to get rid of his fanboys here (because if he wins it will get a LOT worse. maybe I'll just put half sherdog on ignore or something) but because he's gonna stall the 145 division even more with another pointless fucking fight. fuck this shit

Except that his confidence is crushed and his whole game feeds off that.
Yeah, I actually ended up listening to the pod cast and after all that he picks Nate so go figure.

Didn't know that inferior boxing was a psychological issue.

To be honest McGregor was winning the stand-up until he gassed, and he might have gassed because Diaz shocked him by not going down from all these shots and coming back with shots of his own.

I think Firas may have a point here.

This may be true to an extent, but it's not going to matter in the rematch. Conor is a complete frontrunner and not nearly as physically and mentally tough as he thinks, he doesn't have the fortitude to win a dogfight with Nate Diaz.

But he won the 1st round....derp.

Did you even read the first post or is comprehension the issue? Diaz didn't really mount his offense until the second, hence he gassed then. That is what Firas is saying.

McGregor winning the first has fuck all to do with what was said. Derp.

He was right to pick McGregor and I'm sure that his main reason was Nate coming in on basically no camp. Conor had this otherwise difficult matchup served to him on a silver platter ..and he still bungled it.

Firas is absolutely correct here, although some of you shertards will still say he's an idiot and McGregor is just a sub par boxer.

I agree and it definitely is something most posters have no perspective on. I have a bit of a parallel from my own life. I used to be a professional operatic baritone. In one production I was singing the role of Escamillo (a bullfighter) in a production of Carmen. There's a particular scene where Escamillo gets into a knife fight with the lead tenor then immediately has to sing a fairly long recatitive. I went through most of the rehearsal cycle with no problems however one day I went too aggressive in the fight scene and was short of breath for the singing that followed. That resulted in a sort of surprised panic response and I couldn't catch my breath throughout the rest of the scene no matter what I did. From that day until the production was done I would be out of breath every time I did that scene. It didn't matter how I tried to pace myself nor did it matter that I had done the scene dozens of times prior with no problems. It was now in my head and it seemed nothing was going to stop me from running out of breath every time that cue in the music came up.

"When you bully somebody, you don't respect the other person's ability to hurt you"

"When you are on top of the world, it makes you feel invincible - it happens to a lot of new champions...and that's why it's so difficult to become champion and remain champion"

"...you have to have a healthy amount of fear...I know Conor has that charisma, likes to build himself up, tell himself he's way better than his opponent...but the worst thing that can happen to you in a fight, is to be surprised, the element of surprise is the most powerful thing...there is no other advantage greater than surprise...Conor got surprised by Diaz and that's what gassed him out..."

"people make too much out of fatigue in this fight...Conor was preparing for a 5 round fight with RDA...Conor could throw an infinite number of punches if he wanted to...he was confused, and that's what led to fatigue..."

"McGregor does not have a cardio problem, he's a freakishly athletic and gifted human being...the reason he got tired was a psychological one, in my opinion"

"bully fighters go from a hundred mph to zero mph very quickly, why, because a bully bullies you because he thinks you are nothing, and when you surprise him, he becomes confused...especially narcissistic bullies...look at when Conor started to get really tired, it's when Nate started talking to him and bullying him back...instead of relaxing and riding out the wave...McGregor, by his own admission, panicked. When he got bullied, he couldn't handle it...it's part of martial arts that you stay calm when the other guy has the strength advantage (GSP vs. Hendricks)...his problem is a composure issue"

Firaz saying it like it is... Maybe the best analysis I've seen.

Toco, I thought the same thing last night, I wouldn't put it past him to try to campaign for a trilogy fight.

Relax the jaw and throat muscles and practice your breathing

You are judging my post incorrectly sir.
I'm a Diaz fan.
I'm not saying He was winning until he lost.
All I'm saying are facts. If you are Conor's hater to admit those then so be it.

It's all bullshit, he got tired from blowing his load and getting hit back. End of story.

Which is more or less what I wrote. I think by the time Diaz started hitting him he was like "my punches don't work, how come?... what do I do now?" And then he mentally broke when he was punched over and over again.

it's really bad. like, it's fucking retarded a trilogy, because he has to DEFEND A FUCKING BELT

if he really wants to do this shit, i hope he gets humiliated by nate and out of the fighting game for 6 months or some shit

I agree with a lot of points of why Conor lost, but i´ll stay with one: Conor lost because of Nate.
