Fighting Games Discussion

It's funny that people want easier inputs in newer games when you have 6-year-olds doing infinites in UMK3. Just saying.
Tbh not even just fighting games, on the whole industry the problem is how the dynamic changed between software house, marketing and audience

Before
SH: take this game
Marketing: ...
Audience: well, if this is the game we will have to learn it. After all they're experts and artists, they know better

Now
SH: we was thinking to do the game like that
Marketing: ahaha you wish, fuck you, not a chance you will put this this and this in the final PRODUCT, also you must include that, that and that. And these better change.
Audience: (6 months in advance) oh game is gonna suck watch this shit watch that why they don't listen us? They must listen us. Game MUST have this that and these
Marketing: Waith SH, got some news
Fake Audience: i don't even play videogames but must scream on social media the 999 gender-minority things that i did'nt like of this upcoming videogame that i will not buy anyway
Fake Audience2: i'm fan of another brand so i will throw random crap everywhere about this one (lol SO FGC) hoping to built perception game suck because i've no life and brands i like having more success than brands i don't like keep me alive
Casuals: fuck mugga derp akduhlfh LOL
Marketing: Gentlemen, your voice is our inspiration
SH: i want to die

I miss old times

Edit: forgot the "evolution" of gaming journalism. Just add a +40% on the shitshow side lol

Meh, I'm pretty disappointed in DNF, I played a few matches and deleted it. Game feels like it wants to make noobs feel like pros, I can't stand that stuff. It feels so bare bones and I hate having specials linked to a single button. Tried out King of Fighters and was pretty impressed, weird how I was excited about DNF but ended up loving KoF way more.

I like DNF, but yeah it's pretty noob friendly which isn't really a bad thing. I just don't want easy shit like this to be the standard. The online is good from the matches I've played and I like the characters. If Granblue had this netcode, I'd buy it.

I prefer KOF too.

A little off topic

Some are saying that it's Gargantos due to some new Dr. Strange lego set, but Shuma is one of Dr. Strange's villains so you'd think they use him.

It's funny that no one knew or cared about Shuma until Capcom came along.

To me 2022 is basically

- SFV patch. If is only normal patch will be kinda bored, but if they go very bold with an approach kinda like "Omega mode" was for SF4 it will keep me going for months

- Fap over and over watching daily 28 seconds SF6 teaser trailer counting days till release. Or, if they make it look like western shit, watch it daily and curse the world over and over because gaming is dead and Capcom are whores

- Give the 99th chance to a KoF game to catch me for the year, new one looks pretty good

- Want to give money to Blazing Strike people for the effort, even if i kinda expect it to be mediocre

<WellThere>
