Fedor's training

it all makes total sense via the S&P if you understand fitness, just that he is so much more simplified... The only thing you need to realize is he has obviously worked out his own peaks so these things like DL & Bench are obsolete to him as far as fighting in the ring....

Do you honestly think he needs to improve on anything??? Why train for small gains of power if your knocking everyone out so efficiently !!!

Some people are successful despite their training, not because of it.

What Fedor should really do is buy a copy of Starting Strength (quickly followed by Practical Programming, and then 5/3/1 and all 25 of Dave Tate's eBooks).

Fedor thinks he knows everything, but hes just a top heavy bench monkey. He needs to pay his dues to the god and inventor of lifting, Jesus H. Rippetoe

These threads are always the best. They all follow the same pattern, just like the Crossfit threads do.

FO/KY.

I think this is interesting and you guys are approaching it the wrong way.

I mean fedor trains his ass off and is the best MMA fighter in the world, but with his training how does he still maintain his pudginess.

My guess would be genetics cause i'm sure he doesn't have a poor diet.

Fedor sneaks ho ho's in between tabata rounds. Can you blame him? Those things are fucking awesome!

I heard he supersets Ho-ho's with Ding-dong's to unleash their true power

You guys are overthinking this. Fedor doesn't have to squat or deadlift because he doesn't fight in the UFC, and therefore never faces any real challenges so as to require strength.

Fedor wrestles bears, therefore no need for squating and deadlifts. Then he and the bear go out for icecream, hence the pudgyness.

Jesus, do I have to explain everything to you guys.

No, but I would appreciate a good in-depth explanation of elliptical curve cryptography.

If Fedor would just read the FAQ's, he wouldn't be so damned pudgy.

The reason Fedor is pudgy is because he joined Sherdog and his first post was something like

"Hey I'm a fighter and I'm looking to loose a little weight from my stomach area. I don't do squats or deadlifts, but I train several times a week"

Then everyone flamed him for 10 pages and he gave up.

Even worse, he assumed that because the top MMA fighter in the world does not weight train in that video clip, that the average person does not need to or would not benefit from it any more than typical grappling and conditioning work.

yes, the whole idea of this post (and all the others like it) is a bit absurd. fedor, if anything, is an excellent example of how athletics is as much a product of mentality and determination as anything else. being at fedors level requires a freak combination of factors both physical and mental, including a shit ton of luck (not breaking your neck when kevin 'boldenone' randleman slams you on your head being one example).

ultimately, who cares? when did this forum become more concerned with how to emulate famous people than providing actual community for people with real questions/knowledge?

i lol'd

My post is obsolete, between now and then..Dave Tate has released another 3 eBooks.

and i thought i was on your ignore list. Guess not, guess you just enjoy ignoring my posts the old fashion way.

Fedor isn't a genetic freak. I read somewhere growing up he wasn't athletic, just dedicated. I think his biggest advantage in fighting is that he's smart.
