Fight could have been better if Diaz wasn't a shit fighter compared to Georges. He had no business in the cage with Georges. A better fighter would have lead to a better fight. Funny how when fighters didn't fight like pusses against Georges, the fights were good.

If Nick Diaz sucked so much, why didn't GSP knock him out or submit him? He had 25 minutes to do it.

To be honest even Condit fought boring and pulled a shitty point fight; att Diaz was feared maybe above his own actual skills but it was what it was: he was the champion in the only other legit league outside the ufc, already fought and won in the ufc, won against prime Gomi... he was seen as a punching machine with unlimited cardio and slick jujitsu, wrestlers were his only true kryptonite and his reign was basically defending only to strikers or shoot wrestlers like Shamrock.

The point is a true GOAT like Fedor would have beat Diaz at his own Game.

It also kind of absurd that Anderson Silva isn't even in the discussion any more. He was a better champion than GSP.
When they were both in their primes, it was like the opposite of what you're seeing here - most people agreed Anderson was the better of the two. But GSP did a much better job at protecting his legacy.

Uhhh because no one did? He was tough but like 2 notches at least below GSP. Condit belonged, Hendricks belonged. They actually fought. Nick? He just laid there playing defense all night like a lot of the lame asses GSP fought. Too scared to fight back

Yup you're right. Anderson silva had the most delusional fanbase in the history of this forum

Retiring in your prime because Johny Hendricks clearly beat you and got robbed by judges is kind of the opposite of that, but I get your point. GSP knew he was going to lose the rematch so he ran away.

But then he came back to beat Bisping, whereas Anderson thought it would be a good idea to box with Jake Paul. You also have to consider that fans were looking for a reason to put GSP over Anderson for a long time. Anderson made it easy and gave it to them with the drug tests and losses.

I guess it just comes down to if you respect a guy fighting the top guys in his division even way past his prime or a guy sitting it out for ten years and then cherry picking an opportunity to slip back in, smash a one eyed guy who should have never been champ, and then running way again.

If it were the other way around, like you swapped GSP and Anderson's career, people would still say GSP is better. It's kind of like how Khabib has to do half of what Jones did to be considered his equal.

Just ban 7 GSP voters and we can close the poll with the final result. Forever. Unbiasedly.

Khamzat Chimaev --- Jon Jones is the greatest of all times. I know how much of a monster Gustaffson is and he stopped him twice. There's no one like him. No one can be #1 when Jon Jones is in the conversation.

Coming from Chimaev, who generally only talks about himself as a beast...

Imagine trying to sell GSP's career is half of Jones' or Silva's. lol

It's because the guys he beat are no longer regarded as top tier fighters. 205 was way more stacked back in the day. 185 was a weak weight class.
