Yeah GSP retired on top instead of face down over and over again. That's a pretty silly thing to knock someone over.

What did GSP have left to prove? He literally cleared out multiple generations of his weightclass. People just wanted him to stay to see him lose.

Oh I didn’t mean it as a knock on GSP, I think he retired at the perfect time. Fedor should’ve done the same.

Awhile back, before Gane fought Jones, this one poster was comparing Gane to Cro Cop. They said Gane had only ever lost to the champ, while Mirko was KOed by people like Schaub. And that’s a bizarre comparison to make, because the Schaub fight was like Mirko’s 40th or 41st fight or something. It would make more sense to compare Mirko’s first dozen fights to Gane’s first dozen or whatever.

When evaluating Fedor, people always tell me “you gotta count the losses too,” and I always ask how we should do that. How should I rate losses when competing him to other fighters that never fought at that age or fought that many fights? That’s all I’m saying.
