Fedor ducking Alistair Overeem debunked with nothing but cold hard facts

People on here actually believe Cokers fibs ? He was protecting Fedors image. He didn't want to come out and say "Fedor is afraid to fight Overeem, sorry folks we can't force them to fight.".

So instead he pussyfooted around about plans for the future...'setting things up'. Yeah okay.

Sorry but Fedor did not want any part of Overeem back then. It's one of the most blatant ducks in the history of the sport.

But I see this thread is just a circle jerk for Fedor worshipers. I hope you all have fun congratulating each other on how awesome and fearless Fedor is, how he'd fight a horde of Buffalo's on one seconds notice.

I'm not a Fedor 'hater' by any means, he was my first favorite fighter and he's a legend of the sport, one of the all time greats. I simply do not worship the man and think of him as some God of War who'd fight anyone or anything on one seconds notice. You guys really need to pull your heads out, he's not a God, he's but a Man and like all others he has apprehensions and anxieties. He and/or his people didn't want the fight with Overeem to go down.

It's weird seeing you all acting like Fedor was choosing the harder fights, as if Overeem was a walk in the park and he was taking a harder path. Are you guys actually serious ? Come on now.

As of today, Fedor is in no mans land whilst Overeem is fighting for the UFC HW title in less than two weeks.

Fedor is a legend and an all time great, but so is Overeem. It would have been an awesome fight, everyone wanted it and we didn't get it, which is the real shame here.

Actually, as of today, Fedor is worth $20 million and Overeem is worth $5 million. I'm not sure why you think being a rich legend is "no man's land".

Overeem was hoping Fedor would change his bum life and acts like a jilted lover because he wasnt granted the opportunity.

When you take all the cans off of Overeem's record he's 16-14.... i'm sure Fedor is jelly

Um, we're not talking money or status buddy. We're talking where they stand in the MMA scene right now. Fedor is in no mans land whilst Overeem is possibly going to be right at the very top within 2 weeks.

Well right now Fedor stands as the GOAT. Overeem isn't even in the top 15.

Fedor is one of the 'GOATs' alongside GSP, Anderson, Jon Jones & Jose Aldo.

However if Overeem wins the UFC HW title, then when you add his SF HW title, Dream HW title & K1 GP titles to the mix he has a big claim as the most decorated HW of all time.

Then when you add in his big wins over the likes of Werdum, JDS, Arlovski, Nelson, Frank Mir, Brock Lesnar, Mark Hunt, Vitor Belfort x2, Sergei Kharitonov, Igor Vovchanchyn, etc, etc. He has a good claim as HW GOAT.

That's a strong resume, yes he's had many blimps, but so has Fedor and Anderson.

Overeem has wins over 6 former UFC champions (could be 7 if he beats Miocic on Sept' 10th), then victories of Hunt, Nelson and the legend himself Igor Vovchanchyn.

He was also beating Cro Cop very comfortably till the DQ/NC for a low blow. I'd be inclined to include Cro Cop into his victories, he would have surely won, the fight was one sided.

Then of course factor in his K1 accolades...winning the GP, beating Hari, Aerts, Saki & Spong. Yeah, you could argue his resume is better than Fedors.


Who are Fedors big wins, Cro Cop, Nogueira, Sylvia, Arlovski, Coleman, Hunt, Randleman, Schilt...honestly I think Overeems victories are better.

This. I love Fedor but if you followed MMA and aren't brain dead, you know Fedor ducked Ubereem in Strikeforce.

And really, who could blame him? Everyone was ducking Ubereem back then, for good reason.
