Overeem did have a top win at HW before Fedor fought Werdum lol he'd beaten top 10 Kharitonov in his HW debut.

Fedor had no problems fighting non top 10 fighters throughout his career and his greatest stint was in an organization that didn't test at all for steroids.

I've read elsewhere he only fought unranked fighters in the very beginning of his career, with the occasional freak show fight. Also, I'm pretty sure Fedor was WADA tested for all his Sambo stuff.

Strikeforce has been closed for awhile now and Fedor has still ducked the UFC. It's been nearly a decade and he still has not come close to signing.
