apples to oranges. no other big pro sport is structured like the UFC.

athletes in most other sports have guaranteed contracts and unions. It is simply not within a team or league's power to void contracts and toss guys out when they lose or when they screw up, except under very specific circumstances, and the potential for expensive litigation is very real if they do try (look at A-Rod in MLB, look at the drama around Gilbert Arenas after the gun incident in Washington, etc).

none of that really applies to the UFC.

All the people who hate m1 about wanting co promotion needs to go back and remember when dana and fertias bought ufc. They tried to co promote with everyone from pride to kotc to wfa.

They now have momentum and try to say co promotion is bullshit?

That's where the money is, in co promting. It's only easy to not do it when your the only company dominating an entire industry. Fedor has made millions upon millions without ufc, don't be pissed that he wants to build himself and his brand over building up someone else's brand.
That's why floyd makes so Much. He comes first, not the brand he fights for.

Dana is being a hypocrite everytime he talks shit on co promoting cause he done it himself when ufc was dog shit and pride was the big dog.


Fact is, fedor never needed the ufc, and ufc trashed him and his brand cause they wanted something they could have had, but wanted to be looked at as the big dog when he wanted it.

Not to mention Semenov, Suloev etc. Granted, those guys aren't doing much these days, but they were absolute beasts back then.
 
I thought the stoppage in the Hendo fight was perfectly fair. Fedor was out. He came to quickly, but he was out. I'm the first to say a stoppage isn't fair, but this one was just fine. Stoppages like the Browne vs Overreem fight piss me off, but in this case he was truly out.

It's a real shame Fedor never got to prove himself in the UFC. While the blame can be placed on his management he had to know that Dana would never accept that cross promotion stuff.

Dana hates everybody that doesn't join the UFC. Simple as that, if you don't join the UFC when you're a big name and can bring in tons of money, Dana will shit all over you nonstop. He always does.

I take it you are assuming that Fedor was out of his prime when he got crushed by the second team in strikeforce, including by a former middleweight? Well isn't that convenient.
 
Considering all the shit Dana was flinging around like an angry teenage girl / retarded chimp, if he doesn't hate Fedor he's an out-of-control psychopath.

The only real regret a fan can have is that Fedor didn't fight Brock, which is a pretty ridiculous regret considering how Brock's career played out.

Fedor made an incredible amount of cash, is wildly revered around the world, is trying to create an MMA revolution in eastern Europe because he loves the sport and never once had subject himself to Dana White's petty personal problems and shitty personality.

The guy is a champ in MMA, in life, and most definitely in this retarded thread.
