Regardless of whether you think that's his only motivation, saving his own arse is a political move under the circumstances. If there's 650,000 emails but he hasn't found anything indictable, then it's irresponsible to write a letter to congress simply to announce "we've got more emails".
It's hilarious that you think pointing out the obvious makes me a "shill". Big AJ fan?

Not to mention the convenient ignoring that Trump has been a defendant in a legal case for FRAUD for the entirety of this election.

For some strange reason, the ending of The Shawshank Redemption has been running through my head a lot lately.

I would love to see a double felony conviction knockout. Trump for some high level tax evasion crap or other and something to make Hillary ineligible. How quickly could both parties throw in viable replacement candidates and would Bernie find himself the 11th hour choice of the people?

Did you try to click on the link? Article is not behind a paywall. You asking for an executive summary?

Strangely enough through your links I did hit a paywall, but I've managed to get there now anyway. I'm not sure what you were pointing to in that article though?
That the FBI agents on the case wanted to investigate the Clinton Foundation more, but the DOJ was against it?
That's not really a justification of the public nature of the investigation or Comey's announcement.

I think this highlights that all of the back and forth on their impartiality is the most absurd thing (and underscores the irresponsibility of the ""rigged" rhetoric). When the FBI said HRC was clear, some people said there was bias in her favor...those people are now saying the FBI is no longer biased but nothing about the personnel has changed. Some people said the FBI was impartial before...those people are now claiming the FBI is meddling in politics. I find both groups frustrating for the same type of partisanship.

In both cases, I think A) the actual investigation has been conducting fairly and B) the messaging is reflective of bias (either as a result of pressure from Republicans in Congress or Comey's own leaning).

This would be fantastic

Bernie vs. Romney in sudden death overtime.

He hasn't made anything substantial public at all. In fact it would be hard for him to have been any more vague. Like I said, his actions have a clear political implication and there's no legal reason for him to have informed congress and the public.
If there's something in the emails which is indictable, then he simply could have acted on it.

Because FBI has to build a case around? Its not like getting arrested for shoplifting you goof, its presidential candidate. Look the other way around when it comes to influencing, Comey could avoid a president that is about to get charged for a crime.

lol

just as bad as the people on WMD back in the day

Do you think Comey was lying and the FBI was conducting an illegal search?

And if you're crazy enough to think they'll find anything incriminating, are you worried that the illegal search that you apparently believe was conducted will jeopardize their case?

lol at all the hillary shills asshurt that comey annouced the investigation is being reopened

Is this "life insurance" folder story real or fake? I'm assuming fake based on no credible news source but...
