The hypocrisy works both ways on this one.

The Republicans, and many posters here, were all shitting on Comey. The were drumming up grand conspiracies how Comey really works for Clinton.

Like I said, from the start, if Comey had dirt that would stick on Clinton, he would have prosecuted. He hates her more than any of you.

Comey made the investigation public and political, in person no less.
You can claim whatever you like about his intentions, but the effect is undeniable, as is the fact that it's against public policy and precedent.

And regarding the last batch of emails, the FBI has looked at the metadata (subject, to/from, date) and determined that there are tens of thousands of emails from the addresses they were targeting (clintonemail.com, and .gov).

That might be the case, although it doesn't indicate that any of these emails aren't one's they've already seen.
I see there's also suggestion that in might mean Abedin lied under oath, so they could prosecute there.
None of which explains the letter to congress as anything more than a political move.

650,000 e-mails. Yeah, it's going to take some time to sort everything out. Despite the dems wishes, there is still due process, and a criminal investigation doesn't work on their watch.

However, one could reasonably assume that it would take some extraordinary circumstances for the FBI director to put his neck out there. I mean, if you really think they have nothing at all, and absolutely no idea about what kind of material is in those emails, and just decided to go against the head of the DOJ's wishes and make a formal announcement about re-opening a closed investigation, based solely on a whim, then I don't know what to tell you.

If it does turn out to be absolutely nothing, then the left has all the right to complain about meddling. I think deep down inside though, they know that isn't the case.

He covered her the first time and probably now the evidence is too big for him not say anything. If he kept quiet he would also influence the election by protecting a criminal into the oval office. FBI has proof (considering they were bold to open the case) if she gets elected and they did not comment it would be worse.

Why didn't Hillary follow the law? If there was nothing to hide, she could have simply followed the law and NOT compromise national security.

"Felony Clinton"

It a perfect description, it rhymes, it's an accurate reflection of reality.
