Facing easier competition in UFC

I want

HW: Nemkov
MW : Eblen from PFlator
WW: Musaev from PFL
LW: Akbar from OneFC, Hughes from PFL
FW : Pico from PFLator
BW: Rajbali from Rizin, he's probably BW.

WMMA: Sezawa from Rizin, Ditcheva from PFL
I want Dalton Rosta from PFLator to see if he can pass a drug test. I’m a fan of his but I have my suspicions if he’s natty or not.

I don't even think MVP is top 5 in PFL if they have kept Bellator roster.
MVP wasn't top 5 in Bellator either (with merit not popularity contest). Lima, Amosov, Jackson, Koreshkov, Storley, Larkin, Kuramagomedov were better than him.

UFC's sheer refusal to sign the best talents, biased match-making/tomato-can cherry picking, and influx of MMA talents from the around world seem to make this possible.

For instance, MVP's toughest fights of his career so far has been Lima and Storley. He's 1-2 against them, but in my opinion, should've been 0-3.

Look at Storley, no one really knows about the guy, but this guy is probably as good as prime Colby and no one will really remember the guy in a few years. The guy ran into absolute monsters in Amosov and Musaev, who's probably better than half the top 10 in UFC, only losses of his career. I know people hate on Colby, but he was as legit as they come.

I love Paddy, but I don't think his ceiling is that high. I remember telling people Gordon is better than Paddy, but people thought he was a tomato can. UFC signed Paddy at 26 yo, but there's a 27yo ONEfc Champ Akbar Abdullaev who is much better than Paddy will ever be.

Like, in a lightweight division, which has historically been a strong division, Grant Dawson is 11-1-1 in UFC, 23-2-1 overall. Danny Sabatello is a very similar version of the guy at BW. You don't know who the hell Danny Sabatello is? A lot of people don't, but he's fairly on par with Dawson when it comes to their skillset. I rate Sabatello higher head to head.

Dawson is nearing the title shot or top 10, but Sabatello might be retired. Sabatello only lost to Stots and Magomed, better fighters than any opponents Dawson faced in 6+ years of his UFC career.

And the list goes on. UFC just doesn't seem to sign the best guys any more. And thus have plenty tomato cans to feed to guys like they like, O'Malley for instance. Sabatello would have wiped the floor with O'Malley but thanks to UFC''s approach to O'Malley as if he's their long lost infant son, O'Malley is ranked in top 3 in the world and Sabatello is outside top 50. Most recently, they were feeding a series of tomato cans to Doo Ho Choi, I'm guessing that Korean market is still worth keeping, and it finally seems to have paid off. I think Doumbe would have knocked MVP out to the next week if MVP has stayed.

UFC has always claimed to be the premier organization in the world. Never was, and never will be.
It's not just the men. Dakota Ditcheva just steamrolled Talia Santos a few months ago. The same Talia Santos that fought Valentina to a split decision. It's not hard to watch Dakota and wonder when Dana says the best talent is in the UFC.

Nemkov and Eblen are obvious ones as well if we are talking about the men.

Yeah but it's a business that's sucky sucky for fans tho :(
That's something quite relative

For guys like us, who actually knows things about fighters, orgs, etc... Well... Yeah, it is

For casuals, who are basically 90% of the market and will get hype only by names, it's a big whatever

well we were all casuals at the start lol but you are kinda right, I guess at the end of the day it's just about entertainment

but once you start following it, I guess you also wanna see the best vs best, which ufc doesn't seem always keen about nowadays

oh well. perhaps in alternative universe, we are enjoying how pride unfolded last 20 years lol

yeah she looks very impressive because Talia is a world class WMMA fighter. Sezawa from PFL is really good too.

I really do wish we could see Nemkov and Eblen alongside many other guys that are out there. Eblen is at worst top 5 and I personally think he's as good as it gets, but with 1/10th the hype that khamzat has. UFC power, baby I guess

I don't think Eblen is as good as Khamzat tbf. That fight with Impa wasn't a great look in terms of being an elite, elite guy.

Fair point lol Lima I thought got robbed too in the first fight

MVP in his peak was the greatest can crusher that we've ever seen ever, only bested by Kayla Harrison. Kayla Harrison may not have needed it but still lol.

But it really gave both tons of time to develop. Pico is better prospect than both combined, but I guess that can be a cautionary tale too.

I do get that they just didn't have much to offer at Kayla's division though. Even if they did, they might have done the same thing tho lol.

If they weren't careful with MVP, MVP probably got crushed on a loss streak a long ago. But he really did come along. How far, we'd never know until UFC stop protecting him.

I just think Impa improved a lot. That thought did cross my mind too lol, but I think maybe we give credit to Impa than the other way around maybe.

If Khamzat's cardio didn't improve, I got Eblen over Khamzat.

UFC fans would absolutely hate Logan and Sabatello. They're boring as fuck.
oh yeah....entertaining they are not....

but as game as they come and tough ass fights...yes...

I mean Logan is no worse than Colby in my book, and Colby is washed now, but he was really, really good back then.

While I agree in most parts…
Cant agree with the pride line
Pride is the org where fedor would face a clean contender… And then face any random pro wrestler guy
I love what pride was
But one of the reason for my love was exactly the freakshow fights They were used to do all the time

Some guys outside does look juiced to the grills lol

but also it's true that some guys just have better genetics, which I clearly don't lol

i can admit sometimes jealousy clouds my brain "it's the roids!!!!"

I guess only one way to find out I guess

I don't think he's elite tho.

yeah PRIDE just didn't care. I mean the fact that they tried to feed Saku to prime Fedor is criminal.

But it was better than UFC, and they are probably the only rival UFC ever had.

Talking about Saku, I wish we saw Yoshida vs Saku but I digress.

I true grappler knows what to do if take down but the guys now are mainly strikers with limited take down knowledge so not many can finish.
i know right, it's a terrible, terrible thing that happens too often. Joe Rogan having orgasm up there talking about beautiful posture and pristine wrist control.

It's a business. MVP isn't and never was a world class fighter, plenty of WWs and MWs outside the UFC beat this guy. Quality of UFC fighter is pretty low and well curated based on style, nationality, personality and looks.
Says the guy who dream about Dagestanis 24/7 lmao
I never hear from you when your boys get undeserved fights
