Erin Blanchfield won and she fully deserved it

I was rooting for Blanchfield and at the end of the second assumed we were on our way to a 50-45 Namajunas point sparring won. But Blanchfield was relentless with the pressure and made it a fight.

She still needs a lot of work on her striking but you can't deny her heart, cardio, and work rate.

Lol "100% convinced the OP must be trolling". I think you may set your bar too high for fights that must be a JJ vs Alex Gus I or Poatan vs Khalil. Not one round from the fight sucked... The first round was a more studied one but still had action. Second one had also high volume and fair amount of exchanges... And round 3, Erin turned the pressure up, forced a clinch sitiation and started to open up the ground and pound towards the end. I think she could have used ground and pound more often, but for some reason she didn't want to... Because there were very obvious opportunities for her to press even more with solid shots when Rose was in vulnerable positions in the ground... But to argue she can't ground and pound when she landed many significant strikes standing against Rose, with high volume that made Rose initiate the grappling is just not thinking logically at all. She likely was more keen on ending the fight with a submission, or maybe doesn't like to do considerable damage with ground and pound if she feels she can have her ways with other methods... Who knows.
