A fight is a fight, I don't need all the extra crap. I want a fight poster that tells me who's fighting and when, I want a cage entrance where a guy walks to the cage with some music playing and I want a fight between two guys that on paper should be competitive. The UFC is too generic for you? Can I point you in the direction of the WWE, they have a lot of crap PRIDE used to have. This isn't the circus, you're supposed to be there for the fighting.
 
A corrupt Yakuza front with great production values. Some great fights as well as freakshows.

Pride was a circus and a spectacle that relied heavily on roids. But a spectacle that we'll never see of its like again.

Funny how pride gets shit for steroids but the UFC guys get popped all the time.

Pride guys never got tested hence they never got popped. When Pride held their first event in the states 3 people got popped on that card.

Sounds like you Are inly remembering the good and are forgetting (or never watched) the bad. No LnP? The term LnP was started in Pride

Pride was great, but people always only Remember the great fights and forget that much of it was cringe worthy to watch.
 
The opening video to Final Conflict 2006 basically embodied Pride to me. At times it was art. I suggest you watch all the events in order from it's infancy to it's demise. Watch the good with the bad. It was a hell of a ride.

People try to dismiss it now but Pride was special.

Many of Pride's really early events were slow and tedious. It got progressively better when they started enacting time limits, increased striking areas, and inactivity rules.

Yea. I don't think many of the PRIDE events before PRIDE 10 even had the same ruleset lol.

That's not to say I was around for PRIDE, but I do spend an inordinate amount of time on Fight Pass.
