Dude, the UFC 219 Countdown video of Barboza vs Khabib had almost 3 times the amount of views as the Countdown for Cyborg vs Holm.
You must be delusional if you think Cyborg/Holm drew more than Khabib vs Barboza.

Based off this ufc 219 doing 350k buys, im left wondering if ufc 220 can do 1mm plus buys??? Im sure EVERYONE will be tuning in to see who the baddest man on the planet is???

There's a reason the UFC keeps putting on these WMMA fights as main events and it's not because Dana likes to see women fight.

Yep. And that’s why they are given main event and co-main event spots on free TV. If you can turn one or two of them into names, they’ll probably outperform all but a handful of men in terms of business. Ronda, Miesha, Holly and Cyborg have done really well for them at the box office. Arguably all of them are technically rather limited. It makes sense that the UFC looks for the next female star. It’s good money for them. Brings in women viewers. $$$

Also Khabib probably drew more than Cyborg/Holly.

I feel like if you surveyed casuals they'd be much more aware of Holly because of the Ronda fight than Khabib.

Agree. They gave Holly top-quality PR treatment after she finished Ronda, and I think that still resonates. And I think Cyborg is a known commodity too (less so, obviously, but still measurably - people know that she is the top female fighter in the world). A good night’s work for the UFC.

Early numbers from a few distributors have it on track to be about 350k or over

Remember a lot more distributors have to release numbers so it can go up/down, but as of now it is in trending in the 350k range

Well, the date doesn't help.
It is smack in the middle of the holidays. A lot of people traveling.

Anything it does, it would have done a lot better if it was at a different time of the year.

As most know, Dave's final numbers are aligned with what UFC legally files & sends to share holders.
Also Dave had MayMac at early to mid 4m, while SHO said higher & then the number came in at 4.3

Yea i can agree with that, but its just really upsetting to me that it did that many buys... The sad truth of all of this is that i really think we arrived at the point that ufc is now identical to boxing!! What i mean by that is like boxing the ufc belts are starting to NOT mean anything.. ufc champions holding out for money fights instead of the fights that make sense to see who the best is, one main event fight and a bunch of shitty undercard fights. Fighters ducking other fighters. I am a huge boxing fan, but i hate their business model.. i loved the ufc back in the day because i loved their business model and i always said that i would be totally turned off when the ufc starts to become like boxing. i think that day is finally here..
