Early UFC #219 Buys

Crazy that 350k is seen as a good buyrate now. Shit was below average more than a decade ago.
2006 - 2010 were consistently much higher than tree fiddy.

From 2011 to present... tree fiddy became the norm & then slowly became harder to reach.

Even in the hey days of 2015 & 2016, those big super cards were laced in between with sub tree fiddy buys.

Hard reality is that since the Fox deal was signed, stacked cards have become much rarer. The launch of FS1, with yet another expansion of cards, really killed the old model. There have been a couple of years, 2015 and 2016, when, thanks to there being quite a number of active big stars, the PPV cards were mostly good. But those years are the exception. I agree, it sucks.

Couldn't agree with this more. IT's funny you pick the year 2015 as to when this changed. I http://mmadraws.blogspot.com/2018/01/ufc-look-at-ppv-numbers-by-year-and.htmljust did a piece today talking about this and the differences pre-2015 and since then are alarming when you look at the card with big stars on them and the "normal" cards

I buy most cards because I hate going out and listening to stupid people comment on the fights but I definently wasn't buying that junk ppv.

I hate watching sports with others, MMA in particular
I am with you

I feel like Cyborg is a pretty solid name. I know people who don't care for WMMA who will ask about and tune in for a Cyborg fight because they think of her as legit.
