Since decapitating Ronda, she draws well. Especially, those free tv cards.

She’s popular... Why do some ppl have such a hard time comprehending the thing ?

Some ppl just don’t grasp the concept of ... Win, or lose. Ppl love Holly, and always will. If you hate WMMA you’ll never understand the aura, and appeal that she has. So, don’t worry about it.

She killed the fuckin UNICORN !!!

Did ppl forget how popular Ronda was ? Mainstream exposure was cranked right up. She was on the covers of mainstream mags. Did all the talkshows, day and night. The commercials... Don’t ppl remember they couldn’t turn on the tv without seeing her ? It was sickening. Especially, her mean muggin.

And, though it technically came after she lost. It would have been scheduled well before... Ronda hosted SNL, ffs.

And, yet with all of that hype, and exposure. Ppl loved it when Holly knocked her the fuck out.

Instant mainstream exposure, and a refreshing polar opposite of Ronda. She will ALWAYS have a certain number of fans solely because she beat Ronda.

And, unless she pops...I’m a fan for life.

I went from literally buying every card for years without missing to buying half of them at this point.
I will not spend $60 for one fight that im excited about.

Of course, but since most PPV buys are due to groups/parties, its obvious that asking a casual to come over to chip-in & give up a Saturday for Aldo/Lee/T-Ferg is a lot harder than GSP/DC/Holly & of course Conor/RR/Brock

Also factor in the era we we live in
Its so fragmented as far as product consumption & entertainment, that it is tougher to garner interest.

yup!! me and u are the same except that i will NOT buy a card unless there are at least 3 fights that get me excited!!! fuckkkk that!! although im not gonna lie, i most likely will pay for ufc 220 even tho there are only two fights i want to see.

If francis can ko stipe in the first round, i am totally fucked because i can see myelf paying for every ppv that francis is on thereafter even if he is the only good fight on the card and thats not good lol.

with all that being said, i see stipe beating francis.

The buyrate came within the range I predicted the day before the fight (300,000 to 400,000). Based on social media numbers and anecdotal information, the higher than predicted buyrate can be attributed to the combination of Khabib, Cyborg and Holly and other factors. Anecdotally, at the sports bar I was at to watch the fight, hardcores were talking about Khabib (men only) and casuals (men and women) were discussing Cyborg and Holly. The casuals has no clue who Khabib was but they did pay attention during his fight.
 
It was the 2nd worse card of the year. The worst being that one roxanne headlined
 
Holm Cyborg will get the credit if it does well. Khabib has never headlined in his entire bum life.
