Dredd quite easily. Ended up loving the remake way more than i expected to. Didn't like the original.

Raid has great action choreography, but what else? I've never been a fan of action and violence just for the sake of action and violence.

Nah, bud. They'd probably never allow such a violent film. I last watched it about a month before lock up though. Actually been meaning to watch it again since I've been out. Got a 3D version that I bought for my Oculus. Pretty cool. Slomo scenes are siiiiick.
How much did the movie cost? That's a great idea

I can see where your coming from if you're not into martial arts movies. But I wouldnt say dredd as a much deeper or complicated plot itself.

You're right, on paper dredd is also for the most part pure action. But even without a lot of elaborate story telling i got really drawn into that world, and by the end it left me wanting to see more of it. I actually liked that they didn't try to be too deep with it.

THE RAID for sure. It may very well be my all-time fave action/martial arts film & it's among my all-time favorite film period. I'm a big fan of Gareth Evans's work as a director & especially Iko Uwais as an action star.

That doesn't mean that I don't love DREDD as well though. As soon as it became available as a 4K UHD Blu-ray I had to get it & it's spectacular in that format.

I'll go with Raid because they did it on a shoestring budget

Dredd is really good too though, loved what they did with the slo-mo effect and Mama

Raid was so much fun. Old school. I need to rewatch Dredd, I don’t remember too much of it, which is odd for me. I might have smoked a funny cigarette or drank some peach schnapps that night.

have you seen the sequel?
There's no sequel to Dredd, bud.

There is the terrible Sly Stallone movie from the 90's titled Judge Dredd, and there's another standalone film from 2011 called Dredd. There should have been a sequel to Dredd, it was amazing. Unfortunately, it didn't do well in theaters and didn't find its audience until it made it to DVD and streaming services.

It was a while ago when I bought it, but I remember it was fairly cheap, like $12 or some shit. Well worth the price to be able to watch it in 3D for the rest of my life.
