Dr Disrespect Banned From Twitch

Nah. If the dude never ran into controversy, it'd be alive and well. The whole studio was bankrolled on that guy's name alone. Once they lost him, it was over. He's the only reason it ever got off the ground.
Sure but in all likelihood the game wasn't going to amount to much. There's a reason you don't see new studios coming out of nowhere often with a blockbuster shooter.

Kick bans people for streaming ufc events and I've seen twitch do likewise. Also happened with the Super Bowl.
Yeah, sure, you can't show copyrighted movies, either. Just because some sporting events can't be shown, because they have licensing deals with other broadcasters, doesn't mean that all sports can't be shown, and that Twitch isn't bigger than just video games.

The most popular category for years, now, is "IRL".

Hard to say. Brand recognition goes a long way, and the game's marketing would've automatically been built into his social media channels that have an ungodly amount of eyes on it, and millions of loyal fans that would've picked it up just based on being associated with him and supporting his company. It would've had a bigger advantage than most out of the gate. Maybe not a blockbuster, but it probably would've sold okay out of the gate. The quality of the game would determine the rest.

Hard to say.

Isnt hard to say. Game was in the early concept testing phase using primarily free Unreal Engine assets while selling early access, cosmetics and NFT's. This was their roadmap from one year ago:

Thats entirely because of e thots and a few people who stream themselves traveling. Why would I turn on twitch to watch sports rather than just directly from the television network airing it?

Still really doubtful. They didn't have much to show so far, and the industry is littered with failed shooters that were supposed to be the next big thing. I'm not even sure what people who think there was stuff to buy are imaging you can buy. It'd be like buying a TV pilot to use for your own show, it makes no sense lol.

Not true. Kai Cenat is the most popular streamer in that section right now, as I type this, 212K/222K viewers, and he isn't an e thot. That might be one of the most popular and lucrative types of streamer in IRL, but it isn't the only kind.

Because those events aren't streaming on any network, or that network doesn't offer coverage in your country, or to users of your internet domain. It's no different than the "Music" section. Some of those artists are streaming to Twitch, nowhere else.

May know people that make games.

Studios shutting down happens more than one might think, especially the last couple years with 2024 being the worst yet, with assets never being seen.

Yeah I would never want to do that. Even if I liked the streamer, i'd just watch his reactions after.
