Maybe. Just blows my mind the disconnect. Like...people have their 401k's tied to the stock market. That shit matters to the middle class. You hear "Wall Street" and nobody ever thinks of anything but hedge fund managers or fat cats. But average people fucking care about the economy being sent into a recession needlessly when they see their 401k balance plummet. Not being able to communicate that and gain favor seems like sheer ineptitude.

Not really when you can do insider trading (i.e. Nancy Pelosi). You have to keep in mind if Dems were really a "true" opposition party they would be the group people who are on Social Security run to and vote for year after year, but Repubs are always the group that is tied to protecting Social Security. How do you communicate that though when you are taking money for corporate benefactors? You could communicate against that but then good luck getting elected the next time because you won't have any corporate fat cats to bankroll your campaign. Remember trade wars are not bad for everyone. If you are rich enough you wait for the trade wars to end and then you swoop in and get the best pieces left behind for a fraction of the price.

Does it effect the middle class. Yes, but you have to make a choice. It's not the same but look what happened to Cori Bush. She was outright against the Israel aggression and they bankrolled her campaign to the ground and it's part of the reason she is no longer a representative.

Did Canada agree to strengthen the border? Must have missed that. Ultimately I think meeting with them working on something is better than throwing tariffs within 3 weeks of presidency. Trump needs to be clear on what he is looking for in an agreement.

Well you are up on the latest knowing they have a call haha. Kudos. I think Trump said it was a good meeting but not sure anything came out of it. Mexico has i believe agreed to the stay in Mexico deal they had during Trump's first term. Again, 3 weeks seems short but let's see what happens with the call and going forward. Cheers.

Prevent drug trafficking how?
Most drugs don't enter the country on the backs of mules, or cartel members sending them over the US border via catapult. They come in through legal ports of entry.

Trump doesn't "demand" a tariff, he enforces a tariff. He uses tariffs as a tool to persuade countries to work with the US who are otherwise defiantly anti-American in their international relations.
