Elections DOGE is formed

I have a question: Where the fuck are the handcuffs?

DOGE has uncovered a shitload of blatant fraud and other abuse of funds, but so far I haven't heard of anyone being prosecuted or even threatened with prosecution for all the shit that's been uncovered. When are we going to see some perp walks?

Takes time. Any discrepancy will have to be sent to DOJ and/or FBI or even some agency beforehand to verify. Then they will have to do their own investigation/confirmation.

I think they will def look into and eventually prosecute obvious discrepancies

I love that there are no photos of the two of them on the golf course, because Elon knows that Trump is the alpha, and is in better shape, despite being twice his age.

So strong and in control of the hounds that are eviscerating the corrupt, bloated, and festering federal government

lol what a simp

And it should be noted that the federal government has granted Musk's businesses those contracts not because Musk has some kind of deathgrip on the feds to give him these billions of dollars, but because his businesses offer the lowest amounts in exchange for the most efficiency.

Reminder - The Biden Admin could have cancelled all of Musk's contracts at any time, but they didn't because no other business is coming close to offering what Musk's businesses are for the compensation.

Thats what open-bid contracts are.

Who sent those payments? They should be held accountable and prosecuted. Life sentences all around until they give up the names of people they send our tax dollars to.

I'm surprised how right I've always been.
I'm more right than I ever could have imagined.

"trying to cut government waste"

What are you willing to bet that they aren't going to cut any waste?

Again, $2 trillion is more than all of discretionary spending for FY24. Are you proposing that Musk is going to eliminate every last cent of it? Or do you think he's going to cut mandatory spending like Social Security?

And Twitter is a shittier product that has experienced more downtime and buggy rollouts post sale. Hardly the kind of cost cutting I want to see in government.

I'd pick almost every single IG or most of the leadership from the GAO. Most contract analysis and approval specialists as well. Shit, I'll even take some McKinsey hacks as more qualified than a guy who thinks you can cut the US budget by $2 trillion.

Such as?

All discretionary spending in America isn't even $2 trillion, so even if they literally cut all government spending they wouldn't hit the $2 trillion part.

The only way to do that is cutting pensions and Medicare.

If you completely eliminated DoD, the two agencies, and all foreign aid, you wouldn't even save a trillion in annual spending. Are you claiming Musk is going to completely zero out all of that to get halfway to his ridiculous goal?

Why would I need technical terminology to describe whether a product launch was smooth or not?

Oh so I'm supposed to have faith a novice is going to learn on the job. Awesome. Excellent hire and clearly how the private sector likes to run.

It's funny cuz the DoD is one of the best places to find efficiencies but no one wants to do it cuz it's hard and you'll be painted as hating the troops.

Give me an actual answer or stop quoting me,

Because between defense and mandatory spending eat up more than 85% of the budget, are you going to cut defense in half? Medicare? SS?

Recent headlines have made your posts from three months ago age like milk.

Did Musk find $2 trillion in annual savings while no one was looking?

Add up the annual payouts to 20+ million dead people, and hopefully finding the $4.7 trillion the treasury failed to trace, and get back to us.

They aren't paying 20 million dead people social security benefits.

And 4.7 trillion in improperly labeled payments instead the same as 4.7 trillion in payments that should have gone out. Some will no doubt be improper, a lot will be bad record keeping.

The fact that Musk hasn't provided any evidence of either claim should he cause enough to wait and see given his combination of flagrant lies and demonstrated incompetence in reading government records.

So once again I'm waiting to see where this 2 trillion in savings is given Doge hasn't even turned up a quarter of that yet.

*Yawn*
Sure.... great title stating the obvious.

No, 150-Year-Olds Aren't Collecting Social Security Benefits

The tongue-in-cheek tone of the article speaks volumes of the author, rather than Musk.

...for $4.7 trillion dollars.
'Some will be improper.'
'Some will be bad record keeping.'

Which speaks of the amazing incompetence at the US treasury.
And that's the best-case scenario.

Then why did the Social Security admin head just abruptly quit?

Says alot that the captain of a sinking ship is the first to abandon it, rather than go down with it.

So once again I'm waiting to see where this 2 trillion in savings is given Doge hasn't even turned up a quarter of that yet.
20 million dead people still getting Social Security, or damn close to it, is a big chunk of that $2 trillion figure you're obsessed with.
It's only a month into the administration.
Still 47 to go.

Well I'm sure Elon will have no problem producing evidence of how many dead people SS is paying every year then.

And nice job not engaging with any of the issues raised in the article. Are you dismissing them out of hand or did you not read it?

Thats every large organization. No one's records are 100% perfect. I'm happy for improvements but if you're hoping for all payments without proper descriptions to be fraudulent, you're gonna br very disappointed.

It's be half if accurate, which it isnt. That would mean at least a full third of SS payments are wrong, which is impossible to cover up.
