Dog meat: There are countries that eat it !

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domesticated_silver_fox
Wouldn't take that long to breed them into the super submissive house pets we have in the west and has been done.

The Jindo, as far as I'm aware, is only a super small percentage of the wild dog population in Korea and is the product of very little human interaction in their breeding.
you dont really understand asian mentality, they dont want to change the dog and make it less natural. they think the more natural something is the better. in order for someone to make these dogs into better pet breeds it would take a reversal in that mentality or else people will not buy them because they will view the new age "nicer" breed inferior. people to this day boast about jindos fending off tigers. but those same behaviors that are prized in legend are the same that keep them outside in pretty sad conditions.

Dog meat trade is more of a neighbor to neighbor deal. Their might be some small markets but it's way up in the mountain regions.

And if you wanna count consumption:

South Korea 2.5 million > Philippines 500k

SK has only half the Philippines population.
Nice try, but none of those stats will bring my doggy back :( "Philippines...we eat less dogs than Koreans!"
New national promotional slogan, right there.

you sound defensive. as the other guy said he only saw 7 dogs. in this picture there is one dog. the whole problem is that it is such a small back hole operation that its unsafe and rife with animal cruelty whereas the dogs in korea are farmed so aint no one got time to tie up individual dogs. the dogs in philippines are plucked off the street and thats why theyre tied up like that. theyre feral and dangerous and probably have disease so to prevent bites and scratches thats what they do.

go look it up yourself it is not a photoshop.
I'm not questioning their methods. I am saying as a professional shooper of 10 years, that the image you posted is shooped.

Eating dog is as arbitrary as eating caramels.

Then why love the western breeds who are literally the product of hundreds of years selective breeding?

Didn't the Japanese engineer all of their non-spitz breeds? And even then the Akita is far from a natural dog. The chinese bred the sharpei as well.

I've owned a chow chow mix so I do have a little insight into how different in personality and temperament Asian dogs can be. They're never going to be the super needy lovers retrievers and bullbreed dogs are but they still can make good pets if you appreciate them for being dogs instead of super friendly companions.

is the live videos on youtube also photoshopped? "dog meat in philippines". all tied up that way with the can over the muzzle. this is pretty specific to philippines and indonesia. not even china does this because they farm their dogs as well. its really very dangerous that filipinos just pluck these dogs off the street. the philippines has one of the biggest problems with rabies and other parasites and disease spread from dogs into their human population.

I was about to say, that image was a bit odd. But what do I know, I’m just a lying chinese fraud.

a thread about dog meat by someone calling himself the sausage king.
right.
got it.

Fuck that. Chicken, cows, pigs and others are okay to kill and eat.

I've even eaten dolphin and turtle.

You eat dog? I'll single leg your ass and cave your head in.

Even NFG alpha dogs like you that pump and dump the ho's? Man, that's harsh. Bro's before poodles?

they know the history of their own dogs but they dont know the history of western dogs. they hear stories how wonderful and loyal is the breed and see how expensive it is and they want it.

i dont know about china but you see the same thing in japan. most rural properties will have a dog chained to a very short chain.

note how short the tie up is. this is normal. like its not viewed as cruel or not enough space. this is just what people think dogs are supposed to kept like.

Sounds like South Central LA where the poor neighborhood had their pitbulls chained up next to the post. Then again, they really should build their fences at least 6 feet high so they can never escape their property

Ever see that film Alive? A plane crashes in the mountains and they have to reluctantly eat the dead to survive.

I personally would be sitting there with a bib on and knife and fork in hand, staring at the guy that looked like he would die next.

Maybe I don't agree with killing and eating dogs....... but if I was starving.........
