Dog meat: There are countries that eat it !

Wait...I thought all Asians were different.
i was specifically talking about koreans and surrounding like japan about the mentality of retaining the natural traits of their animals.

no idea philippines position on this only that they dislike dogs since there is such a huge problem with feral dogs and disease transmission to people.

Agree. If Philippines could contain the rabies, we could all chow down like Koreans.....let's eat! <cheer>

well you need to farm them. the solution would be not eating dogs off the street, not breeding dogs off the street. thats the first problem.

I wonder how many times you’re going to have to repeat that
i wonder how many times youre going to evade the request to photograph your name on piece of paper at the market where your aunt buys cat?

its the rarest meat you will find anywhere in korea. its propaganda when you hear like everyone eats it and its everywhere. its actually pretty darn hard to find it especially in seoul

I don't mean to be contrary, but it was super close to the most popular entrance to a 100-stall food market and had obvious signs. I was the only one I saw, though.

PS - The mung bean ground cakes done on oiled griddles were so amazing.

You've put much more thought into this than I have. I like that. I'm the reactionary idiot just picking up the pieces.

other than that where else did you see it? is it available at supermarkets? on every street corner? can order it at most restaurants?

its actually pretty rare. i bet you can count on one hand the amount of places you seen it offered in the whole city.

philippines has the highest rate of dog to human rabies transmission in the whole world. i watch a documentary about the milwakee protocol and the problem in the philippines was part of the film. it was actuallty very sad as the victims die slow painful death.

Don't even get me started on mung beans...I cook mongos twice weekly, with gata and other spices. Locals here don't eat it as it's classified as "poor people food". In reality, it's probably the cheapest form of protein in SE Asia.

My aunt buys cat? Why would I do that anyway?
pretty sick why you would lie about trivial things that dont even matter. perhaps you should consider seeking help from a mental health specialist.

Nope! Wasn't arguing. In fact, I wasn't even looking for it. I just saw it and knew I wouldn't see it again like horse when I was in France or fermented shark in Iceland or blowfish in Japan. I just saw it and wanted to try it.

I also don't think it's messed up like a lot of people do. I love dogs, but I love Korean food more. I just wanted to try it.

I have no idea what you’re talking about

Same with what we did with pigs: Pen them where they can't move around to turn their flesh tender while they gain more fat.

Those are raising conditions, but i'm talking about the actual breed. We could probably breed a really delicious dog, the berkshire pig of dogs, or the wagyu beef of dogs. And it can be an ideal size.

There's not been one chick (other than my sweet wife) that didn't tell me those exact words before banging me. Destiny for you two kids....

If Banchan comes to Seoul and we meet, I’ll be making sure to update my one night stand thread. Sherdog history looms

If it was me, I would get a haircut, buy a new shirt, and probably wear shoes. ;)
